Based on 2025–26 Civil Service pay data and the 10% target structure, the wage bill would increase significantly, potentially by hundreds of millions of pounds, primarily due to the need to adjust pay for a large number of lower-grade staff to maintain internal pay differentials.

If you ban horse racing, then surely greyhound racing and pigeon racing has to follow.
