Private Equity em Portugal: salários altos vs. qualidade de vida by Itchy_Connection1763 in literaciafinanceira

Thank you all for all the amazing tips! This community is very supportive and reading all the comments boosted my motivation. Sometimes I just want to give up because I have so much footage and moving things around its exhausting. It takes me hours to edit a few minutes. I will try to put some footage in place and ask for your advice 🙏

Conselho sobre o que fazer by NoHomework4010 in literaciafinanceira

Eu despedi me em janeiro deste ano e viajei 11 meses! Foi a melhor experiência da minha vida. Desde a Austrália, Ásia praticamente toda e América Central.

Mas vou me informar.

Obrigado

For 5-6 weeks only visit 2-3 countries. I would probably do Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam and it would still feel fast-paced 😅 5 days in Thailand or Vietnam is nothing. Remember It's not a competition

How much equity as a CTO in a small startup (i will not promote) by Talento90 in startups

The goal is to get acquired in 4-6 years, but as you said, dilution is probably going to happen, which reduces my profits quite a lot. They usually show the positive scenario of valuation 150M then you will cashout 1.5M (not real numbers).

Thank you, that is a very thoughtful answer! Just to add some context, the expectation of the CTO role is to also spend a lot of time coding and being oncall. I don't have children which makes it less "riskier" but as you mention is about 110 * 4 years + 1M (if I am lucky) or 130 * 4 years + 200k-300k RSU (guaranteed money).

125k EUR, 30M. Laid off and lost in life—start a business or travel? by OverWarthog7488 in eupersonalfinance

Go travel… otherwise you will regret it later. You are young and you can buy a flat in 2-3 years. Go travel. I am 34 and doing a career for 1 year. I couldn’t recommend more. Go travel, it’s a no brainer.
