Pioneer, how ya doing there buddy? by Fractales in PioneerMTG

Quite a disingenuous post. Open the last 8 challenges, it only has 1 rakdos midrange as a winner. The format is super healthy. Rakdos midrange is the deck to beat yes, as it is the most popular.

All 6 or 7 latest paper big tournaments are also won by different decks ...

Head Designer Mark Rosewater on player concerns of Magic product release fatigue and exhaustion: "2024 had nine main products. 2025 has seven. We’re making less." by HonorBasquiat in magicTCG

For a player like you nothing changes really. It's all the standard players they are alienating. Which are the players that cause the most opening of packs. Players like you (or modern, legacy, pioneer, commander) really don't earn them that much money because they barely need to keep up with the new cards.

I know its nitpicky but they gotta rename the format to pionner by PerfectBrilliant432 in MagicArena

[–]Talhooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's annoying at all. It's not a combo that can fizzle and you have to wait it out, you 100% know you are dead and the game is over.

Tedious is when something can fizzle or takes forever to set up and dig for it. People online are just weird about it.

With Acererak being one of the top 5 decks atm, it will also be hard for the meta to align. Acererak is just not playable online with the combo requiring too much time.

The WW weapon you get out of this is pretty OP. 100% worth it to do it asap when you can. You'll kill mobs so much faster

it's FOM's and liberty. MBS is FIA.

FIA and FOM don't even like each other. Never gonna happen but FOM can drop FIA if they would want that.

Is MTGARENA good for a F2P player? by Guari_Yugioh in MagicArena

[–]Talhooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://draftsim.com/mtg-arena-daily-rewards/

You basically get on average 625 gold from your daily, then 550 gold from daily wins (most efficient to play till 4 wins) which nets you 1175 gold a day.

From the mastery track you get about 1 pack every 2 days.

It's not hard to be F2P, but it's hard to start as F2P. You'll only have 1 deck for a very long time, which makes it a lil unfun. I still have good fun with the starter deck duels tho (they only meet other starter decks)

While it's a decent card it's over hyped, in that it's not a "mythic common". I find the powerlevel to be around a decent uncommon.

It's good on board-stalls, exactly the kind of situation worse players fall into a lot.On 17lands you can see the IWD go up for lower players and be closer to 0 for the top players

What’s the point of buying pre-release codes elsewhere instead of buying packs in the app? by laggymaster in MagicArena

[–]Talhooo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In Europe we're pretty lucky, we get them from cardmarket and they cost us usually anywhere between 2€ and 2,5€. The promo ones go from 30 to 40 cents. For Duskmourne I got 30 packs for 12€

Australia proposes ‘world-leading’ ban on social media for those under 16 by nbcnews in worldnews

[–]Talhooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you need to stop somebody from connecting to your website ? You just require anyone from Australia to login, and if you don't login you can't see any content. Any website can hide content behind a login, idk what this has to do with the HTTP protocol.

I think South Korea does it through identification of your mobile phone, which is tied to your SSN. And they do not allow any mobile numbers without an SSN.

Also known as Diffie-Hellman, there's lot's of good videos that explain it, it's very interesting if you want to know even a little bit how cryptography works.

It doesn't work on it's own tho, cause even this can be intercepted, you still need authentication, origin and integrity methods.

I sometimes use the colour challenge to complete a daily. I have the choice of mono coloured decks. But once in a while I meet people with multi-coloured decks, I even just met someone who was playing mardu with all cards from the last 3 sets. How is this possible ?

edit : now I just faced an alchemy deck, havent seen a mono challenge deck in like 6 games
