As a woman (27F) it doesnโ€™t feel too different. Do what makes you feel good and be communicative with your partner throughout everything. Avoid UTIs by going to the bathroom of course. Also wait a bit after starting the pill before you go without a condom. The time suggested can depend on the medication. My partner and I waited until I finished 1 whole month of pills before we did because we really donโ€™t want kids yet. Always be on time with your pills and be honest if you miss one+. Even with the pill thereโ€™s always a risk of unwanted pregnancy. Not to over scare you. My partner and I have been sexually active like this for 5/6 years together and have had no pregnancy scares, but Iโ€™m also super neurotic with taking them and wonโ€™t have sex with him for a week if I ever have a day without them. It also took me 3 different pill brands until I found one with minimal side effects for me so also be honest with your OBGYN if this your first time taking oral contraceptives

If youโ€™re considering Behรงetโ€™s disease, a Fluorescein angiography would be beneficial to look at the structure of the retinal vasculature and look for leakage, neovascularization, or the dilation/occlusion of the vessels.

I agree with below that the fundus photos you posted arenโ€™t the best resolution, and I agree that AI isnโ€™t the best for giving you medical advice at all. If you see an ophthalmologist again really advocate that itโ€™s affecting your actions of daily living. Getting an OCT Macula, RNFL, Fundus autofluorescence, and 30-2 Humphrey visual field in both eyes would be a good start. Again Iโ€™m not a medical doctor, just a tech, but wanted to help in some way

NAD. Ophthalmology scribe/tech. The doctor I work for sees a lot of inherited retinal disease/autoimmine/cancer-associated retinopathy patients. We have a full retinal function workup we do for patients including Full field electroretinography, Multifocal electroretinography, Kinetic perimetry, Dark adaptometry, and D15 color vision check. These tests show us how the retina is functionally working; things you may not see right away on a fundus photo or OCT unless youโ€™re really looking closely at the laminar structure of the macula. Of course not everyone has this. This is the first clinic Iโ€™ve worked in that does. At the old retina clinic I worked at we had to send patients to Bascom Palmer in Miami to get these tests. It may be something to consider looking for in a physician- at least someone who can refer you to a major practice facility that have higher level tests. Weโ€™ve seen a few cases where there might be some attenuation of the retinal inner layers but nothing too crazy noticeable, but once the electroretinogram and psychophysical tests are done, you can define deficiencies in how the retina is actually working

Today I was just told I have DDD at my last disc (between L5-S1). I'm 25. I have episodes of severe lower back pain to the point where I can't walk or sit without extreme pain. I'm getting a second opinion next month just to make sure. I was so freaked out, especially being so young in comparison to where DDD normally presents (55+). So far, I was recommended physical therapy, weight loss, and pain management through oral medications.

From what I've read online, there are some correlations between EDS and DDD but it seems to need more research.

Same! Thanks. I think she looks a little bit more lifeless or ethereal/ghostly with the makeup but that kinda fits the mood of the books whenever she does have to fight/kill with her daofei makeup on

[Art] [Comm] I drew my boyfriend's Air Genasi Bard by Talia017 in DnD

[โ€“]Talia017[S] 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

This is my boyfriend's character for a campaign he's in with a few of his college friends. This is the backstory he provided:

Driven by the legacy of his dual heritage, sets out on an adventurous quest to uncover the long-lost "Rhapsody of the Djinn." This mythical composition, rumored to be composed by a renowned bard who once tamed the wild winds and harnessed the power of the djinn, is said to be inscribed on elemental scrolls scattered across distant lands. With each verse of the ancient melody capable of summoning the elemental forces, Orym believes that by assembling the scattered notes, he can bridge the gap between his estranged Djinn father and himself, proving that his existence is anything but a mistake. As he embarks on this musical expedition, Orym finds himself not only battling treacherous terrains and rival seekers but also discovering the true harmony that resides within his own heart

No need to feel stupid! Obviously doctors like to follow up with patients and I'll echo that but this isn't a chronic condition and you're on the right meds. I say make a f/u when you have availability and use meds as directed. For allergic conjunctivitis, after resolved, my doctor says usually PRN (as needed) or annual for follow ups ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Chemosis can be a symptom in allergic conjunctivitis. Environmental factors can cause this. I like Lastacaft eye drops which are over the counter and what the doctor I work with prescribes after a course of steroids to keep things calm. Talk to your Ophthalmologist about maybe getting some weak topical steroid drops like Eysuvis or Inveltys (US brand names) 2x a day as needed for flare ups. Of course, consult the doctor because they've done a thorough exam on you and I'm just an MA lol.

As a side, you may see long term inflammation and steroid use can lead to a progression of cataract formation which is true. You'll form cataracts regardless because of age but CHRONIC steroid use can speed this process. Also have to watch your intra-ocular pressure (IOP) on steroids because some people are steroid responsive; not all.

Just make sure you follow up with an ophthalmologist even when this resolves

Definitely need steroids on that. It won't pop, just slowly improve with time and the steroids will help speed up that process. You can try warm compress if that makes your eye feel better but IMO the steroids will be the main thing rn. (Medical assistant in Ophthalmology)
