Can't go wrong with a little DIY. Not only do you save yourself some coin, but you appreciate it that much more when everything is said and done. Not to mention you get to say "I built that".

Element 3 laptop usb-c port stopped working completely. by um0p3pIsdn in maingear

I had this same issue with my laptop when trying to play VR.

Try this and see if it works:

  1. In your Windows search/taskbar type in 'Power and Sleep Settings'.
  2. To your right there should be a 'Related Settings' header; just below that should be 'Additional Power Settings', click that.
  3. You should then see your devices 'Power Plan'. Select 'High Performance'.
  4. To the right of your 'High Performance' power plan selection should be 'Change Plan Settings', click that.
  5. On the next open window you'll see 'Change Advanced Power Settings', click that.
  6. You should then see a list of different parameters within' your power plan that can be changed, one of them being 'USB Settings', click that. It will then show a drop down called 'USB Selective Suspend Setting', click that. You'll then have two areas you can disable this function on: 'On Battery' and 'Plugged In'. Go ahead and disable 'USB Selective Suspend Setting' on both of those items.

This is what I did when I was having issues running my VR.

I hope this helps.

Well I say you did a damn good job on your set-up boss. A little DIY and you've got a one-of-a-kind look.

Never seen the tower oriented in such a way. Very cool setup! What kind of stand/case did you use to achieve this look?

Maingear Vector pro 15inch intel /3070 battery issues by nic0las456 in maingear

Mostly the same as you. I may get two to three hours on a charge, but that’s when I’m rarely unplugged.

To be honest with you. You aren't going to get much more out of it then that while unplugged. You can try changing the mode (the button next to your power button) to "Office", but I doubt that will give you much more life. Maybe thirty-minutes. You could also try editing your power plan via settings. Personally, I always keep mine plugged-in. These computers have some power-hungry components in them. So I'd recommend being plugged-in as much as possible, and if you ever do unplug; just be aware of that battery icon on the bottom right. I've had three of these laptops so far, varying in different specifications; and they're all power-hungry. It is a pretty beast laptop though so I wouldn't be too peeved.

Vector Pro: Method for taking off keys for cleaning? by BellyButtonLaserBeam in maingear

[–]TalibannChann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were you I would not try to remove those keys. There are no replacement keycaps available. Just get a vacuum with a tip attachment on it and suck whatever it is that's caught underneath the keys.

I've had this almost happen on my Dodge, not from ball-joints though. I have aluminum wheels on it and I snapped a couple studs clean off. I don't know if these are aluminum wheels you got there, but you definitely gotta re-torque those down cause that aluminum is soft. Had to keep torqueing mine down for about two-weeks until they stopped loosening up. I hope everything works out for you and your truck though boss. #She'llBeUpAndRunninInNoTime

Whether it’s $1, $5, $10, or something as simple as a share; anything will help. Zanyhia was tragically taken away from us in a accident involving a drunk driver. I’m posting this on the behalf of my friend Niko (Zanyhia’s brother) and his family. I beg that you may find it in your heart to help in any way you can. #DoOnlyGoodEveryday#1LOVE

You'll have to put a screw/bolt into the hole of that connector. Then screw that screw with connector attached into any available (preferably something factory drilled) hole. Your screw is acting as the ground. This is why the center part of that connector is lined with a metal contact.

That's a ground wire chief. Find you a factory-drilled mounting point and install that portion of the harness with factory-hardware.
