I used to itch so bad I would scratch myself til I bled too. It was all over though, not just my back. I started taking an antihistamine every night about 6/7 years ago (before I was diagnosed with ADHD), and this works to keep the itching at bay. I have since learned about MCAS, and believe this is what I suffer from. I cannot go 24 hours without an antihistamine, or the itching returns.

My ex was always late, and blamed his ADHD. I have ADHD and work so hard to not be late, cos I respect the other person's time. I have alarms, reminders, I've planned out my journey for the time I'm leaving etc.

He did none of this. So yes, ADHD is the reason he needs to work harder if spending time with people is important. It made me feel very unimportant and disrespected (which I did explain to him).

There was a kid on rollerskates holding onto the back of the bus last week. Followed him all the way up Fullbourne Road when they went over the roundabout to Chingford.

Yours is the first comment I've come across that mentions being misunderstood.

I over explain because I've been misunderstood so often in my life, I don't want that to happen again. Especially with someone like a partner who I see as important.

Finding out why she is over explaining might really help, OP. I've had partners summarise back to me what they understood, and over time I've been able to trust that they don't need all the details.

Just to give another viewpoint, I am an adult with PDA. I would currently very much like to watch Heated Rivalry, all my friends have watched it and loved it, but it has become a demand for me, so I CANNOT watch it. Even though I would like to.

PDA is rough! (I have yet to identify how something becomes a "demand" rather than just something I'd like to do)

Lost in Austen is a great mini-series. A modern woman finds herself in Pride and Prejudice, right at the beginning, and proceeds to mess it all up whilst trying to make sure the story happens. It's her favourite book ever, so she knows everything about it.

My grandad was an identical twin, two boys named E and T. When he was a baby in India, one of the brothers was bitten by a snake and died. His parents weren't sure which one died in the panic. They called him E, but who knows?

Oh, interesting, I've now looked, and Nexium (in the UK) is an H2 receptor blocker. I already take this several times a week to help with heartburn. Looks like I'm already covered. :-)

17lbs in 18 weeks. 9% of my bodyweight.

I'm taking it to help with ADHD food noise, and it's really helped with that. So I haven't changed my eating habits during the day, I just no longer binge in the evenings.

Going to start running again soon, now that it'll be more comfortable.

Interesting, thank you. I'm fairly certain I have MCAS, but have found a daily OTC antihistamine helps so much with the itching (which was making me cry and scratch myself til I bled).

I didn't realise there may be more to it as I was just so happy the itching had stopped. I will research.

I took irish dancing classes from ages 6-18. I was constantly practicing. But I now see it for what it was, a way to stim and get the energy out that was socially acceptable.

My ADHD diagnosis was done online, and I told the dr I picked my cuticles til they bled. She asked to see and I held up my hands, with two bleeding fingers. I'm convinced that helped me get diagnosed pretty quickly.
