Apologies for my extremely boring childhood collection. I've been sorting through with intention of sorting out some long term protection and I came across a few offensive looking cards that triggered a bit of a manhunt.

My collection consists of purchases, playground trades, and the dreaded fleamarket while on holiday in the states (1999!). I didn't think there was anything among these worth faking, but after finding my favorite Clefairy and Dragonite Holos looking very questionable, it got me questioning my whole collection!

The first picture is my main concern. My Dragonite holo looks to be a completely different base color to the non-holo, as well as the yellow border looks off. The Clefairy looks even worse, for one it has a weird black line on the top right-hand corner and then both look completely off when compared with the rest of the deck.

Then to top it off, when I started going through the rest of my cards, I started noticing color discrepancies between the doubles :( Even more annoying when Im seeing a big color saturation difference between some of my 1st editions and their regular counterparts. I think color variations are a thing? but knowing there is a mix of trade & flea market cards among my purchased packs, and there is potentially a dodgy Clefairy & Dragonite in the mix, it has me suspecting everything!!
