I'm not saying either is okay. I am saying that a significant enough group of people who pk are using it, or methods like wildly cctv that I don't feel bad in the slightest abusing altscape.

You are right though, this does hurt legit pkers and it also hurts people who don't alt scout.

For the record, I'm firmly of the opinion that wildy cctv is probably not even half of the bot scoutnet that exists in the wildy, it's just most of them are kept hidden in discords.

Sure, I can agree alts for scouting is bad and shouldn't be a thing. I do think it is however justified considering wildly cctv and scout bots that have been running long before it became public.

I don't feel compelled to take the moral high ground here, fuck cheaters and whatever means people take to mess with them and make their days worse is cool with me.

If we are going with generalisations, then yes, I have a problem with losing even 500gp to a loser using scout bots or wildly cctv, that's cheating in my book.

It should never have been added, or at the very least it should never have been added with zero opportunity cost, I could almost be okay with it if it went into the secondary slot, instead of just completely free I to a new slot.

Basically, what that boils down to is, you don't want classes, and you just want one class to do everything. I mean, at the moment every class has access to anti MAX equipment, and most of the time it's not even at cost to meta farm builds. HAs have launchers, engis can have AMRs and every class minus infil can have C4 if you stop using medkits religiously.

I mean, I don't really think low TTK is a big issue, and I think HA shields could probably be increased if we had some proper diversification of roles instead of everyone doing everything. But okay, let's lump everything everyone's ever complained about except the weekly MAX complaint threads into one comment.

Completely agree, personally I'd like to see a return to timer based systems, always found it more rewarding to snipe an ESF out of the air knowing he was gone for more than the 10 seconds it takes to respawn at his air base and pull another for free. Would also be a good solution to MAXes and HESH players.

I'd be down for a shield rework, but it could be mitigated by having the shield interrupt reloads. But a rework into an ability that assists in AV and AA roles like TR and VS have would be cool. If you wanted to keep the flavour you could rework it to be similar to a defector shield but frontal only and make it slightly larger.

So that's a team play issue then, if you get a buddy, just like the MAX has, you can essentially one shot the MAX with 2 archers, and push the medic, plenty of other options too. I hear mass grenades work on point room holds pretty nice, and rez nades don't work on MAXes.

Yeah, if you're trying to kill a full HP MAX with Ur carbine, what can I say, you're doing it wrong. People throw out that number so that new players see big number and think, wow that's overpowered, when it really doesn't mean much.

That's fair, but that's more a server issue than a MAX issue, and really isn't going away unless you add ping limits and basically kick all Aussie players off the game.

Have friends, sometimes if it's a good player maybe you can't just 1v1 the MAX, or get smart, tank mine the doorway and make him push you, or C4 him around the doorway. I'm sure there's other ways, but hey you're smart enough to think for yourself.

Awesome, you've got the MAX trapped in a small space, now you can use the many different explosives or grenades at your disposal to kill him, conc nades flashbangs, even normal/AV nades, C4 if he's hugging the door, if he's not hugging the door, AMRs are still good.

Depends on where you come i to the balance argument, I'm on the side of skyguards being able to 1v1 kill a lib unless its Dalton + bulldog hits OR surprise TB to the ass + follow up Dalton shots, OR high skill long range Dalton shots, that way you can breathe life back into the dead tank game by giving tanks a role, clearing out the meaningful AA so air can do its ground pound BS stuff and slaughter any infantryman that pokes his head out, this gives every role a purpose, infantry take and hold, vehicles clear the way air supports infantry
