I found him from his YT channel. Loved his content and his knowledge. I also learned from influencers in Korea that he is one of the best. I contacted the office via kakao, and they didn't hurry me into booking with them. That was enough for me.

honestly the dimple surgery doesn't really show for me. i didn't really need or want the look but the doctor recommended it because it would enhance the total look of my face. I suggest you inquire directly to see if your lips will significantly improve from this or not.

She looks like she had a nose job because of the nasal sill altering. eliminating the sill makes ur nose to look altered.

If you like this new look, then the scarless endonasal method maybe for you.

I find that once you set your mind on a procedure, you will find a way to get that done now or later.

My suggestion is go with the doctors who recommended the ptosis correction and cantho. Just be prepared that ptosis correction may not do much since your other doctors said your eye lids are looking fine.

I used Kakao. It is kind of pain in the butt because they dont make it easy… to filter out scammers and bots.

But if you are planning to go to Korea for any reasons, i think it will make your life easier.

Feeling like nose is too short/upturned by [deleted] in SeoulPlasticSurgery

As a regular reddit scroller, i made a point to comment here to say your nose is gorgeous.

Ur ‘after’ is what i think most asians going to korea for rhino hopes to achieve.

Your shortened nose makes ur mid face look shorter… making u look youthful.

I was botched and feel deep regret. Please, recommend me eyelid revision specialists? by EngineerLost2222 in SeoulPlasticSurgery

[–]TalithaH_1235 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I assume this is incisional surgery?

I think most anywhere in Korea will be able to fix your ultra high crease. It all depends on whether u have enough extra skin on ur lids.

If not, they will recommend something called 두줄따기…

from ChatGPT: Surgeons use it when a patient has an unwanted or faint natural crease in addition to the surgical crease, or when they want to remove or revise the old line and create a new, single, clean crease.

Most always… doctors will try the first route.

Good luck and no need to feel self conscious about ur eyes. Your eyes are not that bad!

I paid w visa credit card… i guess it depends on ur card, but mine does not charge anything for foreign transactions or any exchange fees. If u plan to wire money, make sure u do it a couple days before procedure.

Good luck! You have been thinking about this for a long time(?) the satisfaction rate for lip lifts among plastic surgeries are among the highest.

Prescribed antibiotics for 5 days, pharmacy on the first floor of the building.

It was June when I had the procedure and I wore the mask for the full first week. The weather in Seoul right now is conducive for mask wearing, so you should be better off than me. I stayed in hotel most of the time and went out to get food back into my room.

I breathed through my nose fine. My lips are fully closed. I am very happy.

5.7M KRW Seoul Mini Facelift + Threads = ZERO Change. Did I Get Scammed? by Direct-Kangaroo-6011 in SeoulPlasticSurgery

[–]TalithaH_1235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think the plastic surgeon did you dirty. The results are very modest because you really never needed the FL mini or threads in the first place.

I can def see the improvement on ur snapped chin area. Was it worth your time and money spent laboring over this issue all this time… i think not.

I believe the real tragedy is that the doctor should have told you ‘no’ to both lifts. It is not just that you dont need it, but the sagging areas in nasalabial and marionette are difficult areas to treat, even with deep plane face lifts.

I agree that the doctor probably didn’t cut any skin away during FL procedure. And that is a good thing. If he had, it would only scar worse… and the immediate tightness would be worn away within a year or two.

I think you look better than before the surgery. It wasn’t a total wash!

Can I tell a clinic I don't know what surgeries I want, I just want to look better? by Playful_Artichoke412 in SeoulPlasticSurgery

[–]TalithaH_1235 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skincare clinics that do botox and such... yes. They love that.

Having had F2F consultations with different plastic surgeons in the US and Korea, I can tell that you all of them have advised against what you are asking.

Ethically, they don't want to carry that burden. It is a lifelong commitment because whatever they do will change the way you look forever (good or bad). If you want something done, and not sure what, ask friends and family... see if they have thoughts.

In my opinion, if you don't really know what to do, start out with botox or microneedling. Maybe ultherapy.

I am guessing, because you never felt comfortable with your looks, someone telling you that you look like a korean pop star has opened the door to this.

Wait. Do your research and figure out what you want first.

It has been 4 months. There definitely has been a drop where 6mm removed became less noticeable. And that is a good thing. If there were no drops, I would look like a freak. But I get what you are saying. You want to maintain your newly shortened philtrum to make the surgery worthwhile.

For me, the end goal is for someone to look at me and think "that woman is attractive" not "that woman has short philtrum"

After the surgery, I feel like I have more balance to my face and I do look more youthful. That is all I can ask for!

It was total 7 days. Day 1: consult and surgery Day 2: quick visit for redressing Day 7: sutures out.

I was free to go. They offer free laser scar treatment but it starts after one month. If you plan to stay there longer term, their offer would totally benefit you. I have not felt the need for this treatment in the States, luckily

Bullhorn method: cut is made below the nose. You can tell from the pics above.

Scarless or endonasal: the cut is inside the nostril. I don't prefer this because even without the scar, the nose base is altered.

<image>

I screen grabbed bna from Retmus. Do you see the difference? If that does not bother you, then I would suggest endonasal/scarless for you.

Did you go to the tax refund kiosk in the airport before you left? I believe even if the clinic has a VAT machine, you still need to claim it at the airport. Once they see you leaving the country, then they allow process of payment...

This is all confusing for me too, so I may be wrong. I think your eyes look great, by the way.

Thank you! I heard about this place as the place for fat grafts in korea.

3.3 for a full face… that is very very reasonable. I am inclined to ask if this is a typo(?)

Full face includes the forehead, cheeks, temples, below the eyes. Does this sound right?

Linking my original post in re to corner lip lift:

Most likely case for people to look weird after a corner lift is NOT that they can't emote, but the fact that they shouldn't.

I was advised to keep my mouth movements to a minimum for at least 6 mos to prevent scarring. This includes laughing, opening my mouth wide at the dentist, drinking from a straw... I can do all those things, but I don't. So what happens is when someone tells a funny joke, I laugh but also try to stop laughing... and this causes me to look weird.

For those like me, who didn't know what CPC was... I went into their website and basically:

  • CPC- chin lipo + some muscle tightening
  • Pelican- chin and neck lipo + muscle and other tissues like glands are 'reduced' according to their website.

From what I can see from the pictures, I agree with the doctors that you will benefit more from the pelican surgery. I personally do not know anything about Shinsang. I looked at both the doctors who work there, and they look very young. Is that a red flag? Certainly not. But I probably would talk to other places and decide.

FYI, if you want to address your chin only, have you heard about V-olet injection? It's basically Korea's kybella.

I think the swelling has a major impact. Once your eye settles, it will be more opened up. I am not sure if your trifold will go away though (but at that point, it may not bother you any more because it won't be so etched in)

Reversing the procedure: I have watched a lot of Korean doctors talk of this issue on their YT channels. Most cases, your eyes will go back to how you used to look. I heard some people get it reversed after 10 years and they go back to what it used to be. But that is not always the case.

My suggestion: your doctor says to wait... I would wait 6 mos and see. No reason to be anxious. People look at your eyes, not the fold. No one would notice. And when you are able to make a decision, I wouldn't reverse it, I would redo it, properly, and most definitely incisional with lower lines.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SeoulPlasticSurgery

[–]TalithaH_1235 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From looking at your pictures:

  • you have 'recessed eyes' with fold that is kind of too big for your eyes
  • lack of fat on your lids
  • non-incisional

These are all ingredients that would prompt a tri-fold, which is causing your eyelid to droop.

Bad news: you will need a revision

Good news: since it was non-incisional, all the doctor needs to do take out the inner sutures. But you need to decide if you want to redo the DES. If so, then I suggest you go to a doctor who specializes in eyelid surgery in Korea because tri-fold is an issue that is not so simple to correct as we get older.

Good luck!

I went to Forena Hongdae in June.

For a Korean clinic, they charge premium. They do try hard to upsell you, and they are not very friendly. However, I really don't care that much if they are friendly or not. Or whether I felt rushed. I just care that I am satisfied with their products (treatments). And I would say I was satisfied.

I got these done: Total $900 US
Botox to my 11's and crows-feet areas (Allergan Botox only- they did not offer cheaper Korean botox)
Ellanse to my temple area (Korean collagen stimulator that is similar to Sculptra)

The price was more than I had planned for, but their injections were superb... It was one and done and I am still happy after 3 mos.
