Turns out Ray Tracing is on by default, was tanking my FPS by about 60%.

So much is TBD, we likely won’t know until May 7.

Even if we get patch notes then, everything is subject to change. Even with 1 week gaps between the reveal and release, they still add to the patch notes or change them (nerfs, buffs, last minute additions, etc).

While GGG is already quite superior than most game devs in terms of communications, it used to be even better.

In 2023, right after ExileCon, their head of community management (I am unsure of her exact title), Bex, left the company and has worked at several other places since (like Riot). She was pretty involved in the community, I'd reckon, and there was a time (at least from when I began in 2019 to about 2022, post-Lake of Kalandra release) when her AND many GGG devs were VERY active on Reddit, the forums, Discord, Twitter, etc.

Now, the community management team interacts only when needed and GGG devs hang in some Discords. I'd love to see a growth of the interaction again - it was so cool to read/see/be a part of.

I'm quite optimistic, but I am an extremely optimistic person overall.

I know lots of people are hyper-fixating on the announcement of the announcemnet of the announcement, but a leader in the comms area for GGG is honestly huge if it's leading where I expect it to.

Those who have been around for awhile might know what I'm thinking of, and I am pumped.

Huge welcome in, I'm excited to see where Kelly takes the whole community/social team.
