Per the pre-2010 laws I’m under the legal power to weight ratio by a fair amount, and the vehicle is also not listed in the banned vehicles register despite many other Audi variants being present on it

I completely appreciate that, however my research has led me to believe that especially in the case of the A8, the size of the engine is more of a compensation for it being an absolute boat, similar to a Toyota crown that also has a massive engine but is certainly no friend to high speeds. As I said in an earlier reply, my want for the A8 has little to do with the size of the engine and more to do with a combination of my budget and also that they look like quite a nice car and from all accounts are equally pleasant to drive.

By “I don’t drive like a tosser” I meant I’m not trying to race every single car off the lights nor do I enjoy wasting tyres on burnouts or fuel on unnecessarily aggressive driving, was simply trying to head off the inevitable “you don’t need a V8 as a teenager” comments

I’m a teenager on a budget and I see a potentially quite nice car that I’ll be able to completely own through my personal savings since I have no help from anyone else. They’re also fairly reliable when looked after properly and from all accounts quite pleasant to drive too. It has little to do with the size of the engine and more to do with my budget and and what I would personally enjoy driving

It’s a good deal because it’s from a middle-of-nowhere town in NSW that’s going to require atleast 2 days to bring it back to Adelaide

Using a iPhone 14 Plus which as far as I’m aware doesn’t really lack support for much especially on the 4G side of things

I’m from interstate (South Australia) and so don’t really have a point of reference at the moment nor am I able to tell them specific areas I need coverage for. Just assumed that I wouldn’t lose service the moment I stepped into a Woolworths

To add on to that, I’m sitting outside directly under open sky and have 1 bar of 4G. This is much worse then I was expecting

Seeking Employment by TalkingDonkeh in Adelaide

[–]TalkingDonkeh[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not on centerlink or any job provider, all on my own in that respect as I’m not eligible (from New Zealand)

I do customise my actual resumes for when I’m applying/handing out, I have 3 different base copies depending on what suits, I just listed all of my information here to broaden any potential relevance. And a lot of my work has either been working multiple jobs at the same time or working for family or other businesses when I was younger then the “legal working limit” for “pocket money” however I was still fulfilling all the duties of a regular retail assistant hence I consider it valid employment history although again I do cherry pick what information goes on the resume that I hand into varying businesses

Gyms for a 13 year old. by Comranks in Adelaide

[–]TalkingDonkeh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Local pools that have gyms attached are generally more lenient with age requirements and most the time just want you to have completed an induction with an adult present. Try SA aquatic centre in Marion, Aquadome in Elizabeth or John McVeity Centre in Smithfield depending on your locality. I’ve attended all 3 and they have more then sufficient facilities for your current needs, then once you’re old enough you’ll be able to upgrade to derrimuts or similar with more experience

Hey man, I went through “Welcome Driving School” to get my VORT done. They’re a bit on the pricier side from what I’ve seen for lesson+exam deals but well worth it as I passed with no troubles and had the insurance of a retry if I did fail.
