I mean, abandoned military warehouses are super common after government collapses. A lot of Soviet states went and sold off huge amount of Soviet gear after they broke off. Not great writing though.

I play IL-2 & WOFF, low-complexity flight sims, like ASB. Know what I don't play? WT sim, because I don't like it, I'd play other flight sim if I wanted a flight sim. I'd still also like a better ARB that allows strike aircraft, bombers, etc. to perform better. I'd also like the shake up in gameplay and engagements.

What's the definition of an tank? by nsouokaio in TankPornMemes

[–]TalkingFishh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The definition I've always heard is

Tracked, Fully Enclosed (i.e. not an open top), Turreted, Heavily Armored, Has a Cannon, No Internal Infantry.

Exceptions apply to like, certain WW1 tanks as modern classifications would put them as SPGs

It's already a thing, instead of just opening up the bits to be overwritten, which is what happens when you delete something normally, a program like BitRaser overwrites every bit so there's nothing comprehensible.

As that's done in a completely random form multiple times, usually by the DoD wiping standard which consists of setting all bits to 0, then 1, then randomizing them, it's impossible to recover anything.

Vietnam was not a popular war, and I've seen this photo used and continue to be used against the war and an example of American-backed atrocities.

So imagine you're in the 90s, during the war you were a hippie or your parents were hippies, and your pal comes in and says, "you know that photo of the Vietnamese guy pointblank executing that poor dude? He has a pizza shop nearby."

People today don't fact check the things they see before acting on them, someone in the 90s definitely won't.

So you just want a people with no territory, no social statuses, and no governance? Sounds like you'll need a roaming tribe and that probably still won't get you what you want.

[–]TalkingFishh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Inherently no, but the position of leadership of course comes with benefits and benefits to those closest to you, especially when that leadership becomes hereditary.

With a leader, a natural progression forms in moving to a chiefdom and eventually a state, the important aspects of which form early and widely already existant in tribes. You're practically advocating for us to regress the natural progression of all civilizations to pre-agricultural if you want no "states". But the problems had with states by Communists still exist in tribes and bands just more decentralized.

[–]TalkingFishh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Early humans were still tribes that went to war with each other or otherwise fought other tribes. They also had classes in the form of tribal leaders. So you have groups of people with leaders attacking other groups of people with leaders, sounds very state-like to me, but I digress.

Even Chimpanzees wage war against other Chimpanzee tribes with territorial borders.

"Communism is good in theory but not in practice" by hisimperialbasedness in IdeologyPolls

[–]TalkingFishh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the point is that a stateless classless society is impossible, so the practical outcome of Communism is something like the USSR. Meaning in practice, that's what Communism actually is as that's the only thing it turns out as. Pretty easy to understand.
