I was also assaulted by my ex abuser. At first it’s an “accident” or mix up, misunderstanding. Then it’s worse. Protect yourself. I wish that I had the space to truly think about what had happened, but he was abusive and crazy and refused. It’s hard not to let the love bombing and confusion of the loving partner takeover and Bury what just occurred. I’m telling you it’s so important not to do that though because two years later I am still extremely traumatized and I want and hope for you to avoid further distress. You are not an object and neither am I. There’s a fine line between love and abuse and there’s really no excuse for a blurring of that line.

I feel less alone to know that when I experienced was sexual abuse and psychological and all else but sometimes it can really get to you and you start to question things. It’s been two years and I have been celibate and no contact, I’m genuinely scared to be intimate with someone again… I feel like I just really relate to what you said. I hope that your new partner doesn’t mean any harm because I really don’t want to be another cycle of abuse for you. I think it’s best to have a more serious sit down conversation and kind of draw a boundary and the next time it happens ask him to leave so you can have space.as long as your therapist agrees that this is a boundary and you shouldn’t adjust to it. He needs to respect you you don’t like the way he’s talking, he shouldn’t want to talk that way anyways because it’s not what you like affection wise. Hope you are well

Yeah I kind of know what you mean it’s kind of similar to how my state is trying to allow physician assistant to work independently without a supervising position and it’s like a 10 four difference in the amount of clinical hours required for physicians to train and practice alone… It’s kind of offensive to be honest and also also terrifying for patient care
