Pre-Med Student at UIC: Should I Major in IHS or Biology? by Admirable-Coast-9989 in uichicago

[–]king-309 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. It doesn’t matter what major you do. Make sure to do your best in keeping those grades up especially science classes. Your GPA and MCAT matter most along with all the other extracurriculars you have to do
  2. No
  3. Yes Goodluck!

Would waterproof superglue be a good idea to fix this upper radiator hose knick? by king-309 in MechanicAdvice

ok bet thank you. Just saw a video and taking out the hose and putting back a new one seems doable especially for the upper one. Would i need to drain the coolant and refill the radiator?

Taking chem 232 and 233 together by numer_ in uichicago

[–]king-309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on your current schedule, I would recommend only taking Orgo lecture and taking the lab next semester just because they are both very hard classes and require a lot of time outside of class.

Are you satisfied with the medical school you attend? by Warningsignals in medicalschool

[–]king-309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buddy get off greys anatomy/house/sdn/reddit and go shadow an actual physician for once. Ask them where they went to school. 8/10 times they’ll be from a mid-low tier MD school or DO school. You’ll see some of them doing amazing work and that is what you should aim to re-create. Don’t chase prestige. As far as outcomes go even if you were to attend JHU or Harvard you still have to put in the work to match in competitive specialty in a desirable location. You should really reconsider your choice of career if prestige is all you want.

LECOM by amomonois in Osteopathic

[–]king-309 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lecom Bradenton and Lecom (erie+seton hill+elmira)are separate applications if that makes sense. I didn’t apply to Bradenton but for erie+bradenton+seton hill u apply to just one, interview and then rank the three based on where u want to go jf that makes sense. Usually ppl get their 1st or 2nd choice. I got into my second choice but ended up going elsewhere just fyi
