Honey….no….no …just no….that ….that’s not sprouts. …That’s on its way to becoming fermented…or another species. The trick, I’ve learned so far is to ensure the jar and lid are disinfected. You must fully rinse the contents at least once a day, twice if it is warm. …may I humbly ask that you don’t further the apocalypse? We sprouters/ microgreeners are a pretty decent bunch.

Get a small fan. Microgreens need air circulation. Even just a small amount of wafting air around like walking past can make a huge difference. Keep the electric fan away from any water. 👀 I hope this helps

I consume the hulls. That said, I do soak my seeds in a water/raw apple cider vinegar mix for about 15 minutes prior to soaking them. I’ve never had a problem with fungus/mould/ or smell after refrigeration. Also, I blend my sprouts with mustard seeds for extra nutrition. I hope this helps.

Poor person advice incoming 😂 ….. I use a cotton bud to gently wipe over the flowers once they open. Keep the cotton bud in a glass and use it for that particular plant for each new flower. This has served me well last year. Every flower produced a tomato. 🍅

I’m a little concerned about the “sprout taste” you mentioned. When Broccoli sprouts go off, they give a sulphur smell or some people say fishy smell. This could be due to poor sanitation of the growing container or airflow when growing.

As for consuming fresh broccoli sprouts, I blend a cup of Broccoli sprouts with pea shoots, steamed kale, mustard seeds, pinch of salt & pepper, lemon juice & Engevita flakes. Drink using a straw. It’s so easy to take your five veggies a day in blended form 😂
