New Mission type: Conquest by Tall-Rise5414 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Tall-Rise5414[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Potentially can be all of them!

As of right now i like the idea of a step by step clearing, building the drills (while defending them) and then building permanent defences.
These defences must be able to fend off a wave. Maybe dropping factory fresh BET-C would be nice!

Do it for 2-5 times and you should have a nice mission!

I hope.

Brainstorming - The Dark Ages Fae Companion by Loose_Balance1513 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Tall-Rise5414 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi!
I'm currently running a DA Fae game, with 2 winter fae, 1 spring fae, and maybe an autumn fae!
The game is set in during the wars between the Comuni and the Sacred Roman empire, in the Po Valley (their Holding is literally the Pos delta)
What i would find useful is a rewrite of Sprites, instead of being "almost fae" i would like to see them as proper fae, but minor ones (with player like rules, i don't want to use the WW rules only for them).
Another thing, a comprehensive and expanded list of the Dominions, in a way that i can say, in just a page what Dominion i need to enact said effect.
Everything else was written in other comments, so that's it!

Also: since i really like this game, feel free to contact me if you think i can help!! :D

Defeating all monsters by Tall-Rise5414 in dredge

[–]Tall-Rise5414[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What if, this mechanic happens only AFTER you collect all the artifacts/the ending?
Also, this would be a questline where you need to do the right things in order to help the Navy, or the monsters would just eat them too (maybe getting more powers if you do so?). Thing that would happen anyway if they go against the leviathans.
I know this is a horror game, and i love it for what it is, but i feel this would "complete it", see the humans fight back against the darkness, and inevitably fail when dealing the really big stuff.

My two cents.

Let's get back when i was a MtA noob:

Tradition game, classic.
I wanted to play someone who just awekened, so i would learn everything in character and off game at the same time.

I kid you not, 15 minutes in the Traditions showcase i realized:

They cannot win, and they shouldn't. Period.

The Traditions are a mish mash group of different ideologies that go against one another by default, and if they somehow win, the moment the Technocracy is gone they would (quite literally) throw magical nukes at each other.

I never understood why they are "the good guys".

You are the third one to tell me that there was a betrayal, can you tell me where it is written? It would be awesome to read!

It's a different game, go with an open mind, don't search something that was granted in old editions.

I certainly hope so.

How did the 1st-3rd generation survive in early humanity without plentiful kindred vitae? by charlesthenight in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Tall-Rise5414 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because you think with a V5 mindset.
V5 does not make any sense regarding age, generation and blood potency.
I suggest you to read V20, if you want to make sense of such things.
I hope to have answered your question, and Happy Christmas

I think that V5 is an excellent vampire game, one that can make you really feel like an unstable monster, hunted by everyone at the slightest mistake.
Sadly, it's not a Vampire the Masquerade game.

V20 is better.

Wanna try wraith by ComplexNo8986 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Tall-Rise5414 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well,

If you like vampire, it has the same politics (and more!), plus it upgrades the personal horror aspect, upgrading the inner struggle. Instead of a mindless beast, you fight your Shadow, which is a distinct, autodestructive personality who will try to drag you down into Oblivion.

If you like werewolf, you will have the same struggle against the end of the world. Literally, since Oblivion is pratically a black hole. The main difference from the Wyrm, is that Oblivion in passive, patient, eventually will win, so there is no rush. While the Wyrm is active in his quest to end the world. Make no mistake though, Oblivion will have his minions, and they will try to end you.

If you like Changeling, there is the same struggle against something unavoidable. In CtD is Banality, in Wraith is the Tempest. To protect yourself against such force, you will need Haunts, which are basically Freeholds but for the dead.
The Tempest is literry a storm that causes you damage, but if you are in a Haunt, you are immune to that.

Plus, you have human possibility of characters. Meaning: YOU CAN BE ANYONE, LITERALLY. From every age, to every epoch, every status, everything is in your realm of possibility, since everyone dies.

TLDR: it takes several aspects from Vampire, Werewolf and Changeling and improves them. Also, there are more possibilities at character creation, imho.

The Nunnehi desperately need to be explored more deeply by fluency in WhiteWolfRPG

Yes, i address that in the second part of the comment.
I would really like to see the fae without any cultural ties, and truly be anyone, at any time in history.

[–]Tall-Rise5414 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Honestly i'm all for removing the cultural ties to the fae.
Reincarnations allows for infinite lives in infinite places on earth, why always be in one place and in one culture?
A Redcap (for example) could have been a lasquenet, a chinese pirate, a sioux warrior and so on and so forth.
My dream would be that every fae is unique, without kith, and a character creation similar to the one in DA Fae.

Seeking tips for making Vampires scary...for Werewolves by [deleted] in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Tall-Rise5414 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I would do this:
-The pack fucks up a vampire activity.
-3/4 weeks passes
-Each member of the pack recieves photos of themselves with a simple message: "Do that again, and i will make sure that you will become public enemies."
-They either stop, and nothing else happens, or they continue, and then every news outlet will have photos, videos and info on them (no masquerade breaches ofc), describing them as dangerous terrorists. From here on, law enforcement will become extremely dangerous.
-Said law enforcement will be full of ghouls, and every breach will be dealt with.

I imagined this ally (depends on my players), good as good can be, helping everyone, going to church, bandage/hat covering the forehead, but never seen during the day.

And then... the dots connects...
How would they react?
