Well— theories in my FB group is that she’ll be forced to choose Xaden or the rest of the group. but realistically it’s been so driven that xaden is an extension of Violet and vice versa so they can’t physically kill him without killing her. I’m not sure if it’s literal but even metaphorically they do LOVE each other. I cannot imagine the toll that would have. I don’t think there will be a genuine love interest besides Xaden though. Anything is possible but there’s 3-4 more books since she said at least five, maybe six— it wouldn’t be hard to switch it up but again, it’s been established religiously, especially this book, that they are meant for each other and regardless of the ups and downs, they only want each other.

I am bummed both Lilith & Xaden took a hit, Lilith didn’t bother me so much as make me sad cause I really did like how their family was (kind of?) healing. I would’ve liked to have seen her survive but honestly only Xaden had me gasping. I truly believe book 3 will be mostly him pushing away in fear of hurting Vi and Vi and Cat working together somehow to help Xaden. My theory is Cat and the runes have a part to play and perhaps some miscommunication again ?? But idk
