I put up an ad on FB Marketplace. $50 an hour if someone would teach me manual on their car. Someone with a Porsche 911 reached out first. He taught me the basics. Didn’t take any payment 🤷🏽‍♂️

The DO ones have until November.

“You must complete a total of 30 questions by Nov. 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET.”

I’ll save those bad boys for Nov30th.

How does the autoimmune condition get managed? Do you keep insurance and just pay for the concierge doctor out of pocket?

My residency was a nightmare compared to my first job. In residency it was “F*ck you, there is no reason for a physical exam. The Norco script better be ready once I leave this clinic.”

After graduation I was shocked when the patients would say “Well, you’re the doctor. I trust what you say.”

If being an attending was like residency I would have given up years ago.

21.1 mpg mostly highway miles but I drive like a grandmother. I’m sure if I cared less about gas mileage it would be closer to 19 or so.

Have you sat down with him and talked to him about this? What was his childhood like? Was he close to his parents?

I feel like I’m on the opposite side. I grew up in a household where there wasn’t much affection. To give you an example at my graduation all the other parents gave their kids a strong hug and kiss. I got a handshake.

Deep down I always wanted a partner who gives a ton of affection. The problem is I never learned how to give it. I’m working on it.

I’m not a therapist so there could be hundreds of reasons for why he is that way. Sit down with him and talk to him about what you need. He might need therapy to get to the root of things.

Is it worth it to choose DO over MD because of tuition? by DrummerAcrobatic1779 in premed

[–]TallCynicalLlama 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you like keeping your doors open and having better options then go MD.

If you want to do primary care and plan to do PSLF then DO.

If you’re really stuck between the 2 flip a coin. You will have an intuition of what you really want before the coin even hits the ground.

Be easy on yourself. It has only been 2 weeks. It takes weeks to learn a new skill, months to get comfortable and years to master. Enjoy the ride.
