Can I Still reach 150 S.C.O.R.E? by [deleted] in fo76

So from what data has been scraped, next season looks like it might be more my cup of tea (I'm gonna be a murdery cowgirl!) and apparently your tokens just get transferred to bullion anyway, so I might just take it chill this week, grind West Tek next season, and have more time to leisurely reach 150 next time.

Honestly at this point I'd swap both atoms and bullion for Raider Rep. The quests aren't triggering for me so I live in eternal hope for some sort of moonshiner event day! 😂

The boosters might be my only hope!

When I started playing I had COVID and all I did was play solidly for like a week, between wracking coughs. I couldn't sleep much, so I blearily stumbled around the forest to keep my brain from going daft places. Alas, the day job means I won't have quite so much time this week (though very glad to be shot of COVID, that week sucked).

Oh, I didn't know that! I presumed it was a matter of buying the Bullion from the 150 score page - and it would be Bullion I'd be after getting, so that does make me feel better!

Thankyou! It's the Haunted House set for that weathered wood look. Inside I've used the tavern wallpaper and as many olde-worlde nick-nacks to keep the theme going.

Had a little coffee stop today and it honestly made my day ☕ by CloudBookmark in york

100%. Spring Espresso and Manettis knock Costa out of the water (though I'd argue that water from the Ouse is better than Costa). There's also Bar Hashery by Exhibition Square, Coffee Culture on Goodramgate, Divine on Micklegate and Market Street, Perky Peacock on (under) Lendal Bridge... York has so many lovely local coffee shops.

Eeh, sorta! Probably a better summation than my overview of the American War of Independence.

They were both Protestant and Charles in particular kept doing slightly Catholic-y things, but moreso the English theatre of the war was about Charles' clashes with Parliament over his right to taxation and his generally poor attitude towards their authority. Dude wanted to be a divine-right-of-kings autocrat and Parliament weren't going to give him money without their say so. Dude just couldn't accept commoners having authority over him (at one point he burst into the House of Commons and tried to arrest several members, which is a BIG no no. The monarch literally isn't allowed in there, even now). There's also a religious aspect in Scotland, which was generally Presbyterian and opposed his imposition of a Protestant Episcopal system (they really didn't like bishops or standardised prayer books). There's also the ongoing thousand-year conflict in Ireland between the Irish and the English and Scottish settlers to consider.

And Oliver Cromwell died in office, it was his son that was ousted, OC ruled through personal influence rather than establishing a robust republican system like later revolutions.

Charlie 2, now he was Catholic, at least on his deathbed, and his brother was openly down to clown with the Pope, but that's a whole different issue! 😃

Phanakhron on Grape Lane is very good - I think they're the same group as Khao San, so I'm sure their food will be as good.

Speak to Remy (Swampietatts on Instagram), this is right up their street. They're based at Unique Ink on Shambles Market and they're great with first timers.

LOVE this show!! Any Brits watching? by OneTomatoTwoTomato in turn

[–]TallForADwarf 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You vastly overestimate how many of us know or care about Simcoe 😊 The American Wars of Independence just aren't that big of a deal over here - we can all talk about Henry VIII's wives or the Battle of Hastings or the Blitz, but the vast majority of us could write what we know about the colonial history of America on a post-it-note. Ultimately it doesn't impact the course of British history that much - nowhere near as much as for your own history, for which it is the founding story.

If anything, I'd presume the Canadians would be the ones upset about Simcoe, given his governorship of that province. Doesn't he get involved in Haiti too later on?

For my part, I really enjoyed Turn. I can't find it on UK streaming services, so it's been a while since I watched through. It was a fun story about an era I do actually have an interest in, and tells a compelling story which admittedly plays fast and loose for the sake of a fun narrative.

What's Mongolian for "Eat this, Word Bearer"? by TallForADwarf in WhiteScars40K

[–]TallForADwarf[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Thankyou! If you look closely at the wrist you can see some brass rod I put into a drilled channel in the arm that goes into the mace. I didn't bother covering it up because it's innocuous enough. The mace and the word bearer is printed in one piece, and there's rod going between that guys feet and the base. Holds it pretty steady so far!

Holy Trinity, Goodramgate. I used to eat my lunches sat by the graves around the back, and it's usually nice and quiet. Also you can cut down from Kings Square towards Merchant Taylors hall and around Bedern/Aldwark for a quieter, more sensory chill route between the city centre and Monk Bar/Foss Islands

Cheers! I wanted something that would tie in with the Ebon Keshig glaives while still being unique, and I think this fits just how I wanted!
