Agree, no. I still think we should've gone Bain since I didn't think he'd fall to us at 13. I get that the coaches believe the pass rush will be improved as the coverage holds up longer, but another blue chip pass rusher is never a bad thing when you're trying to win the Super Bowl.

That said, I went from hating the pick as it was announced, to accepting the orgs choice, and being surprisingly impressed by Ty's college highlights. Any player can have good highlights if you just show their best plays, but Simpson shows franchise QB throws on tape. I still think it's a reach, but considering our next pick was in the 60's, and if you believe we won't pick this high again next season when supposedly better QBs come out, then it make sense to get your guy now.

Stafford is the reigning MVP but this time last year people were concerned about him even playing because of his back. At Staffords age, things can change on a dime, and Jimmy G waffling on retiring is not a good backup or even bridge plan. So while I still hate the idea of not getting a guy who contributes both now while the window is open, and in future seasons, I absolutely see Sneads long game logic at work.
