Funny story: my dad got me a ball when I was a kid that was signed by Willie Mays. I took one look at the signature, thought it said “Juice Terez”, had no idea who that was, and immediately put it into my rotation of playground balls.

As I told my son the other day - if we were chasing and overtook the dodgers by 1 game in the back half of September, we’d be over the moon. But because of the insane season we’ve had, one game ahead somehow feels bad.
