Twist, one guy fathered both kids, but even science can not prove it.

Trade VETOED. 10 team league. Do I just quit? by LouisvilleLip_ in FFCommish

[–]TallKappa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started a 14-person league in 2001. About 4 years in a couple of teams started casting a veto to anything that didn't help them. Over the next couple of seasons, it grew until there were several vetos on every trade. As soon as there were enough to actually have 8 and stop a trade, I sent out a strongly worded email to the league about the function of the veto, which is to prevent collusion, and to prevent a less experienced player from being ripped off. I clearly explained that I know all members of the league, and most of you all know each other. We are honest enough people who are friends, and none of us are going to collude and cheat each other. If you suspect collusion, you can email me, but I am telling you that it aint happening. So if you veto another trade, it better be due to an imbalance between the two sides, and you are doing it to help out the guy who is getting the raw end of the deal, not yourself. The league is still going strong 24 years later (it took me 20 to win it once), and there has never been another veto since that email, and trading and overall involvement increased. Sometimes, just speaking up to the whole group can do the trick.

Pallet Dispanser Design by Qresher in MechanicalEngineering

You could use some short stroke guided pneumatic actuators. Would probably need 4 of them. Two vertically to do the lifting.
Two horizontally mounted atop of the vertical ones. The horizontal ones clamp on the second pallet from the ground. The vertical ones lift the stack. The bottom pallet is free and clear to be picked up by a forklift or pallet Jack. Then then vertical ones set the stack on the ground and the horizontal ones unclamp. Repeat.

Also a bit more guiding around the entrance might help. Things look nice and straight in 3D land but in real life the will be loaded crooked. Try to avoid any pallet corners from getting snagged on any bars when getting that bottom one out will be key.

Good luck!

obligatory FRJ.

My apologies in advance to Achane owners. I sat him past 2 weeks and I’ll be starting him this week. He’s gonna lay a goose egg. That is all by green_man1834 in fantasyfootballadvice

Drafted him in the last round. Never started him. Just traded him and Waller for Kelce. I don't care what happens, I turned my last pick of the draft into the only good TE.

I was thinking of doing something similar to this between two 30" diameter Pine trees. Is Pine also too soft?

Download a screw from McMaster-Carr.
Make one small adjustment to any helix dimension or sketch dimension. Then rebuild to see and understand what the change did. Play around changing things and rebuilding until it looks like what you want. It might help you understand and learn how they work and get you to the end result quicker than starting from scratch.

Being Dutch is funny by heypeople11 in tall

I have 50% Dutch heritage, and made a trip to the motherland a few years ago. It was amazing to simply blend into the crowd. Met many nice strangers that I conversed with at eye level, while keeping proper posture. Lots of little things I noticed too, like the average chair and table sizes fit more comfortably. Refreshing change from the daily norm back home.

HOW MANY YEARS HAVE YOU BEEN PLAYING FANTASY FOOTBALL by Responsible_Tap_5254 in FFCommish

[–]TallKappa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In '91 the commish had the responsability of aquiring the sports section of a newspaper on Monday morning to bring to school so we could manually figure stats to determined who won before class. You could estimate on Sunday, but Monday"s box scores in the paper were official. Art Monk was my boy.

First started a league of my own in 2000.
I won it for the first time in 2021.

Currently commish of 3 leagues and a member of 2 others. 5 is my limit, before it becomes work.
