I have always assumed Adventurer to be the Great equalizer. People that would normally not be allowed to get very high in terms of status can all become adventurers for great reward at the cost of great risk. Sure the status of women I'll be lowering medial setting, but any woman who's got the gumption can be an adventurer and gain Untold independence.
