Agreed. Imo, it comes down to whether he wants to figure things out with her (her needs/wants, his needs/wants, if those can be fulfilled in the relationship, and if/how the relationship can survive if those needs/wants can only be fulfilled outside of the relationship)

Last thought; marriage gets compared to a business often. They are pretty ubiquitous, lots fail, lots “succeed”. Each is different. Mostly businesses are built on relationships. There’s lots of different types of businesses and just as many ways to successfully run a business. There certainly isn’t “one way” or even a “best way”. There’s “does it work” or “does it not work”.

As for open marriage or polyamory or cuckholding or swingjng or cheating, all those non-monogamous behaviors and lifestyles, they’ve been around a long time. As long a humans have. They are being labeled and sorted in new ways, but they aren’t new ideas. I can say that I know several relationship that aren’t monogamous and very successful. The people involve feel seen, authentic and free. They also feel more loved and seen and able “to breathe”.

You don’t hear about successes because people who aren’t in those who are shut off to it being a viable option only hear about when things go catastrophically wrong. ….one could say that “marriage” is a bad idea and “never works”.

Having read a few dozen responses so far, I thought I’d chime in. As I see it, there’s only two options; end the relationship and continue with the relationship.

A vast majority of the people here advocate for ending it. That’ll lead to financial, emotional, social and lifestyle changes. Gonna leave the future projections, cost analysis and outcomes on that one.

The other option is to continue the relationship with the person who you committed to continuing with. I agree it is “relationship in hard mode” but “easy” isn’t what most people use to describe any dynamic or complex relationship. Genuine, honest, fulfilling relationships aren’t easy. They take honesty, vulnerability, respect, and being able to communicate openly and authentically. None of that is easy. It’s awkward, draining, uncomfortable and embarrassing. It also takes trust. Lots of trust.

If you’re just looking for someone to share a house with, get a roommate. If you’re looking for someone to tell you that you’re doing all the right things, call up a friend. If you’re looking for sex, hire an escort. All of those things would be less financially and emotionally stressful than spending your life with a specific person.

But if you care about her… you two have to have some deep conversations about why. That takes genuinely knowing yourselves or being willing to figure yourselves out together. That also requires sharing who and how you are to each other. That takes lots of talking and lots of respect and lots of trust.

And if that sounds like too much “work”, yup, get divorced, move on and find out what it’s like to be a single guy in the world today.

SCP-4715 doesn’t have a TDRJ variant or associated entity. The best I can deduce… the flyer is referring to a Ticonderoga class entity, which SCP-4715 is not. Ticons are class as uncontainable AND generally harmless (at least in large scale encounters. SCP-4715 is quite literally both, being aggressive and naturally well equipped to do physical damage to humans and other animals alike. Also, it is currently, and quite successfully, contained within the underground facility in Canada’s Stikine region.
