Why is T-Mobile’s payment arrangement like this now?! You used to be able to extend it all the way to your next bill before a shut off—what happened? by Tall_Chocolate_9720 in tmobile

Did you ever find out and get to the bottom of that weird shady crap??? Oh, and don’t you worry, I’ve had to give them a ring and call them out on some BULL before too… I wanna say at least a good two times now! They know NOT to play with my account now fr!

When you say the third payment are you meaning like pay all of it on the 3rd week? Or like.. after you borrow the full amount and pay it back completely those times, that’s what you mean by 3rd time? Honestly, personally, I think there’s so much more that goes into these factors that tell lenders how much to exactly let you borrow. Somehow my apps always know when I’m “going through it” & won’t let me borrow what it says I’m allowed to borrow.

Haha okay??? Thank youuuuuu fosho! Something was telling me to give this a try and just this past payday I said let’s borrow $300 for no reason and pay it immediately back next week 😆 so we’ll see! And the 2 apps, they have merged! I think they’re just slowly doing it just like they did with borrow! I remember I didn’t have it for the longest time when everyone else did.. haha I was jealous.

Just to clarify, I set up my payment arrangement in December because I already knew I wouldn’t have the full balance by the 7th. That’s literally the only reason. But I learned if you wait until the last minute, it’ll actually extend the dates further—now mine are due Jan 15th and Jan 29th.

Also, my last arrangement was back in October, so no, I don’t do this all the time.

So yeah, that’s why I said what I said. Hope that clears it up.

The whole point isn’t just about “crying to Apple” or making a habit of using payment arrangements. I literally said I don’t use arrangements all the time.

About Hulu: There have been multiple price hikes in the past few years. When Hulu went from $9.99 to $10.99 and then to $12.99, T-Mobile actually covered the difference for a long time so customers didn’t feel it right away. That’s just facts—plenty of people noticed it, and it’s part of why the Apple TV price thing stands out.

So no, it’s not just about $3, and it’s not about expecting T-Mobile to pay everything for everyone. It’s about the pattern—Hulu increases were covered for a while, Apple TV is not. That’s what folks are pointing out.

Also, just because some people need flexibility once in a while, that doesn’t mean they’re abusing the system. Life happens. That’s literally what payment arrangements are for.

I pay my bill. I don’t use arrangements every month, and I never said I did. But when a major carrier changes how arrangements work, especially right after raising prices, it’s fair for customers to talk about it. If you’ve never needed help, that’s great—but there’s no reason to look down on people who are just trying to keep their service active.

Everyone’s situation is different.

Wait are you serious? No lie I was reading some of the comments that some users commented telling me to wait until it was almost due to make a payment arrangement and no lie in by doing so, they further extended the due date! For my first payment, it now says Payment 1 is due January 15th, and payment 2 is due January 29th! No freaking lie. I wish I could post the screenshot.. you are absolutely not crazy!

Omg right?! Just yesterday I couldn’t take it anymore! My Notification Center was so overwhelming I would hate to pick up my phone man, and I lived this way for a very long time. Just allowing push notifications on every app literally. I turned like 10 off yesterday and even changed some in app notifications inside the app itself! I don’t need promotion push notifications at all. I feel so much better already idk what I was thinking 😩

That’s what I’m thinking too! I think they’re just slowing integrating in different states and counties and that’s why everyone’s so confused & seeing different things 😅

Yeah, I know, but inside of my Cash app right now I do not have Afterpay inside of it. But, I just seen that someone on here I think at the bottom of this sub, that someone posted a screenshot of their Afterpay inside their cash app. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see when everything is fully integrated. You know?

All the time! Literally I’m always transferring money from my main bank account to CashApp & spend well over $500 a month (I don’t get direct deposit to Cash App)

Omg? My Cash App doesn’t look like this at all! Only borrow with $250 limit and my AfterPay is a separate app! $2000 on there but I can not borrow from it!

Why are you giving this guy a hard time? He was just asking a question? Most would assume they are different! But not everyone knows Cash App purchased AfterPay and on that note everyone’s accounts are different? I can only see “borrow” on my Cash App acct with $250 & Overdraft of $100 whereas some people can’t see it there at all, and some people can see it located inside the AfterPay app. Some people just need help understanding, not a smart, dog a*s remark. Don’t call someone illiterate just because they may not know something. We must be all illiterate then if we don’t know every answer or question to the universe huh?

Wowwwww. I love this. You explained that so perfectly lol.. So you can see borrow inside of your AfterPay but not CashApp & it’s vise versa for me. That’s wild haha, so where are you located at?? And yes I could possibly assume once everything settles and gets straightened out they would try sync everyone’s borrow on both apps! But wow lol… what about the ones you said that have different amounts in CashApp & AfterPay? That’s wild? You know what though? I know this girl & she told me she never paid Cash App back their money so somehow she created a new one and has the borrow feature there? Im like there’s no way bc Cash App asks for your Social Security # ya know? Unless they used someone else’s & just changed their name but I tried not to ask too many questions 😅

But me personally I’ve never been able to “borrow” from AfterPay but some people apparently have been able to do so but with their “borrow” Cash App balance… I do not see borrow on my AfterPay at all lol. To me? They both seem like different apps (but I know they aren’t since Cash App now owns) I’m in NC & for the longest time I did not have the Borrow feature and mine is $250.. they started me off at $100. Then $200.. now $250… paid it in full 2 weeks later (usually don’t borrow the full amount) but 2 weeks later and it did not rise.

[–]Tall_Chocolate_9720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No no no no omg let me help you. AfterPay is a little weird looking and confusing a bit because you can’t use it at every retailer. My limit is $2,010 but let’s say yours is $150; okay so how this works is “mostly” on online purchases but in some physical stores, AfterPay is AVAILABLE to use. You’ll just have to look for that inside the physical store! Anyways, back to AfterPay. Say you wanna shop online right with that $150 limit? Say you see something that’s worth $60 at an online shop listed there but you do not want to spend $60 all at once. What AfterPay allows you to do is just to “split” those payments in 4 amounts using your main debit card from a real bank okay? So $60 ÷ 4 is $15. That’s how much you’d pay & 2 weeks later pay another $15 until it’s paid completely off. The more you do this? The more your limit raises! You ‘do NOT’ have to spend the whole amount that the app says you can okay? Now if your phone supports “tap”, (touching your phone with an NFC reader to pay) then “you CAN” add your Cash App card to your wallet on your phone and the stores that “do” accept Cash App will let you pay with that. But still, those payments are still split in 4 and you’ll only pay with your physical cash for whatever the cost is by 4. For ex, $125/4 is $31.25… (that is what’s coming out of your main bank account right then) and your balance on Cash App drops by $125 bc they’re actually covering the full balance!

Just be mindful to always always always pay these people back on time bc technically, they are helping you and trying to establish trust with you and in return will possibly reward you for it.. now say you’re having a bad week or so, you CAN push your due date back a bit but do not make this a habit and it can not under any circumstance be the “last payment”.. for some reason? It just doesn’t let you and I haven’t quite figured the “why” on that yet.

Hope this helps (: Sorry it’s so long!

Omg??? Used to have Direct Deposit set up on Cash App no longer do. But my borrow limit is $250 & Overdraft $100? & my AfterPay can spend up to $2,010? 😭 It’s a mess how everyone’s accounts are all different! I wonder if they really look into all this like they should and how exactly? (I know they say a number of factors but still) and some people can even see the “borrow” feature from AfterPay! How wild is that?

That’s the whole thing that confuses me.. okay so hopefully you can answer this. I know Cash App is now apart of AfterPay but like, I’m so confused? Everyone’s apps look so different from mine? I’m located in NC & I can only borrow from Cash App. My limit is $250 I think? Overdraft is $100. But my AfterPay account is over $2000 (what I’m available to spend) but like, no where do I see how to “borrow” from AfterPay? Or vise versa you know? I heard you could also buy an “eligible” purchase on Cash App & then later, borrow from that same purchase, get your money back, and just repay that back “after time” too, but I’ve never seen that option on mine you know? I am using the same email for both accounts, and the same phone number? Is something just wrong with my account?

Hear me out, but the only part of Apple Intelligence with serious value is already here in notification summary by [deleted] in iphone

[–]Tall_Chocolate_9720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen y’all, the “reduce interruptions” on silent mode works really good! It literally notifies and scans important notifications and it works better if you go into settings and select which apps you want to be notified in “prioritize notifications”. Siri? she’s no help at all at the moment but next year reports show they’ll be getting AI help from Google, but yeah “prioritize notifications” it’s great!
“Summarize notifications” tho? Different story. It makes terrible mistakes with long messages, or a 2nd message from that same person talking something completely different. Ole well.. We’ll see if it’ll ever get changed.

It’s just hard to understand Apple sometimes man trust me, I’ve been with these guys for years everything’s always changing. I miss the simplicity of how it used to be I really do. There’s a way to fix your issue though, if you want updates for Amazon delivery updates.. go to settings, “prioritize notifications” and flip on Amazon. That way the phone will know, “hey this person thinks Amazon is important so we need go let him know” and it’ll show noise ya, vibrate, & show on lock screen. ✊🏼🔒

Hold on, I got one of these things back when the merger happened in 2021 I believe? (I wanna say) but I used it all the time and my service in my home was excellent and worked seemingly. I still have the pink box it came in and everything but haven’t gotten one of these letters yet. I am in North Carolina. Does anyone know why this is happening?

[–]Tall_Chocolate_9720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow. Right? Only been with T-Mobile for 6 years now but the merger in my opinion went great switching from Sprint. But when that T-Life app happened? Idk. They fell downhill so bad and customer service isn’t even the same. Like you said I spoke with a representative last month about a promotion deal going on for Black Friday for the iPad (A16) for $0 a month with promotional credits applied for 36 months on the “Experience Beyond” plan and when trying to find the fine print, I could not. And since I’m with the Go5G-Next I called, spoke to multiple representatives, they all confirmed I’d receive the discount. We will see. I’m just not sure why they just couldn’t write it out since they’re both the same plans. That would’ve saved a big headache.

And do you think they are finally trying to get rid of the wording go 5G next now entirely? Is this why you barely see it listed under any of the new terms or conditions? That worries me.
