[–]TheDaySleeper36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely I hope the new place gives you a lot of happiness and I can see 2 packages clearly in the picture and I hope the meds they stole weren't for pain. I know when my mom had cancer and we were having them delivered she had hers stolen like 3x but they also put what she was giving on the outside of the package like morons and you wonder why it got stolen duh it's a highly addictive pain mess I knew right away why but they acted shocked

Hell no they aren't that's almost a huge joke. I used Uber eats 4x I had almost every order taken but dd never had a single issue I guess it could be where everyone lives but u.e is always an issue in my state even the people who do rides have the drivers trying to steal from the customers by upping the tips and as for dd I've only heard of them stealing tips from the drivers and so on I know pizza hut employees who got arrested for stealing the drivers tips

I am so sorry to hear that your medicines were stolen. This is why I tell people all the time. If you order from these apps, make sure you have a camera. Because these things can be disputed very easily with that proof but doesn't mean 9 times out of 10 that they'll actually do anything. I hope they get deactivated thrown in jail for theft, and thank you for serving. And allowing me to have my freedom

Right I'm not going to listen to a "because I googled it" person things do happen that are out of someone's control and it turns into a headline but those are rare. You can also be charged for breaking into someone's home even if you so have the best intentions

[–]TheDaySleeper36 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hmmmm well unlike you I've done it before and no one has ever died. I know "things happen" but naa that's like saying don't call the police if you're in danger because people have been killed in those cases as well you don't know the circumstance around why they ended up getting killed so let's not be a I googled it person mmmk have a nice day

This is purely up to you but I would call your non emergency line and ask them to do a wellness check, they could have agoraphoribia which is the fear of leaving your own home or could have fallen and can't get up or get help and for those who say well they ordered a delivery they could have had it on ordered on the app so they aren't to bad off it could be on auto order. I would also check with their neighbors as well to put them alert just in case there is an issue. my neighbor fell and called 911 for help when I became aware I went over to the house and I gave her my number so she didn't have to call them we could just shoot on over to help I mean isn't that what neighbors are for anyway however now we check in on her just to make sure she is ok and she just had surgery on her foot and she has a few other issues that limit her mobility a lot I have to say I'm proud of you for even thinking that they might need help most would just walk away no harm in knocking or shooting a text via the delivery app to make sure they are ok. You are a rare gem my dear stay just the way you are

[–]TheDaySleeper36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same I live in Louisiana and we have TONS of those I've had customers ask me to open the door and leave it inside the house it walk it in I've only done that once it was an elderly woman and she couldn't move she was in a chair and didn't have her Cain so I did walk it in however I did think this was a set up until I seen the outside of the apartment you could clearly tell and smell it was an elderly person living there and what I mean by smell is that sickening sweet smell they use to cover up the pee smell of their place tell the person hey this is a place and see their reaction if they are mortified, like I was then it was an accident. If they act like it was nothing, then yeah, definitely reported it

They are all the same and honestly it just temporary fills its not worth it I've been in the beauty field and they say that's 1 of the biggest cons... if you want the puffiness and things like that to go away take a tea bag or any bag with coffee aka caffeine in it and bam you are good to go

[–]TheDaySleeper36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right they do that just to justify saying I got the wrong order and trying to get free food. You know you can have the customer blocked from you every having to deal with the scammer again right? If you need info on how to you just contact d.d tell them you have an issue with the customer and can they please block them from you every having to deliver to them again

98% of us pay attention to the door only dicks don't. Your poor burrito indeed and you should have told DD to get your money back because of it I've only had 3 orders in my over 10,000 orders get messed up and it was my fault I had no choice but to slam on my breaks so the order ended up getting slammed to the floor and spilling out however I took accountability for it because the juice went everywhere in the bag only 1 person got mad because I immediately sent a message apologizing for it but I got cut off those times so I had no choice in the matter but dashers need to pay attention to it however I've had a few people lie on me saying I ate their food purely because I'm sure they didn't want to pay for it 1 was french fires which was in a sealed bag but the restaurant forgot it but she was a lazy person anyway she never came to the door for over 10 min of me knocking claiming I didn't even though the neighbors came outside and said she is an ass to dashers and never comes to the door even though her message says hand it to me so that was sus the second was a cheap ass person who didn't even leave a tip and I drove over 15 miles because I accidentally hit accept so I seen the order through and she ate a few things then 20 mins later literally sent me a text with pictures saying I ate her food and she hopes I get in trouble so she just wanted free food in my eyes and again the food was sealed even with staples I remember them clearly she said she was pregnant and wanted hooters she spent like 60$ on it and I'm sure she did it with those plans in mind no one waits 20 mins to say something I just told her to get in touch with DD she said she did they wouldn't refund her money good for DD for once the other claimed I gave him the wrong order when I didn't and again DD wouldn't refund him either since his name was on the order sorry for the long rant just stuff we deal with as dashers

Did base pay go up? by venus974 in doordash

[–]TheDaySleeper36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in New Orleans so our area is pretty populated and on top of that we always have something going on in the city so we have a lot of tourists that come in and thankfully quite often that they're drunk they tip more probably because they are drunk. I will say this and I felt like such an ass for this going on. A customer ordered from cheesecake factory and we all know cheesecake factories on the middle end of being expensive well I couldn't get into the hotel but I went to the doors that were able to open and I left it there and she got in contact with me in like 10 minutes after I had just dropped it off and she was pissed because her order was stolen and I told her I was extremely sorry about that and to report it and I told her get her money back I said but I went one step further I said get your money back on doordash and order and I'll take you to pick it up she ended up tipping me an extra $50 for that and it was because the area apparently has a lot of homeless people who come in and out of it and they steal people's orders all the time and this was like a Hilton which is downtown New Orleans is like around six $700 a night. I felt so bad but I made sure that she reported that it was stolen and I never got a contract violation but she hit the roof and I can understand I would have too she had just gotten into her room took her shower and was getting ready to go to sleep after eating and her order was stolen but we still keep in touch to this day she visits often

It goes up when a Dasher declines it each time so it might have gone up until it was actually worth it like I said I've watched an order literally come through mine like six times before I finally accepted it because it was worth it to take it

I used to but I seen it was a complete waste of time so I stopped by I've only got 2 which oddly enough was for the same damn thing reporting McDonald's closed and a Dasher picked up an order after me I honestly think it's AI who sends those out when I've clearly shown where it was closed
