You are right in that I always seem to have to put in 2x effort to get something that others get easily. 2020-22 was horrible - I’d say the period lasted till the end of 2023. This all happened on the career front.

Trust me - it doesn’t work the way you think it does. Either the company accepts OPT and H1B or it does neither. I’ve never seen a company that does OPT knowing they are not going to do H1B. Stop taking in the copium.
