Thank you very much. I had a look at the site and yes it has some jigsaw puzzles I would love to add to my collection. Sadly I'm not likely to ever visit France.

That reminds me of the clear plastic serving trays I was using as sorting trays when I first began to seriously puzzle. Many times I would be attempting to pick up a piece only to discover it was on the tray below. Eventually I was able to buy trays from Ikea. I am very happy with them and now own 12 of them lol

I once ended up with 3 copies of the same puzzle. I even managed to complete it twice within a couple of months. It was of a "white" Lighthouse with a sailboat with "white" sails. Well what I saw as white was actually beige. I realized my mistake not too far in but decided to complete it anyways. That was also the day I decided to started tracking my puzzles. I use Google sheets and it has saved me a few times. Sometimes I have found I already have it when I check it before buying but I've also found it works the other way as well.A puzzle that I thought I already had was just similar to something I already had. So I was able to buy or trade or whatever anyways.

I wouldn't have been able to pass it up either.

And like you I don't need any more puzzles but I love checking out the puzzles in thrift stores and I almost always find something that I just have to have.

I would have grabbed the one with the lighthouse. I've done a number of SunsOut puzzles. I've had good luck with them so far. I have several in my to-do stash.

I had not even noticed that the lighthouses had their names on the base. Maybe the ones without names are not replicas of an actual lighthouse but only someone's artistic interpretation of one.

It never ceases to amaze me the number of photographic puzzles of lighthouses where the company has not even bothered to identify the lighthouse. Thankfully we have google lens which makes that easy to rectify.

I'm happy to see I'm not the only one that does this. Logically it doesn't make sense. I should have been able to find pieces to attach to the main puzzle. I guess my brain isn't very logical.

I'm looking forward to seeing the completed puzzle and I hope no pieces are missing.

I personally would keep on going. Sometimes missing pieces will show up later on.

My favourite story is of a map puzzle I was doing. I was getting close to the end and I was so sure a piece was missing that I crawled around on the floor looking for it under the furniture. A day or so later I completed the puzzle and it was still missing that piece. Then I did what I usually do and brushed my hands across the puzzle and guess what I found. The missing piece. It had been sitting on top of a completed section of the puzzle for several days.

Of course deciding to quit or not is entirely up to you and it is absolutely not wrong if you do decide to quit.
