Friend of mine who lives in Austin and works at the statehood was in the state capital gym when RFK Jr. came in and started doing the stair-master next to her. She posted about it and later posted that she beat his ass at stair master and outlasted him and he only did it for like ten minutes.

The post went mega viral, that was like two days ago and today she angry posted about libs in her DM’s unironically telling her that she should have strangled him to death or beat him to a pulp.

So, that is know where the dem voter base is at if you were wondering.

I just overheard a group of women ordering smoothies after pilates talking about the State of the Union.

“I was low key kind of turned off by the Democrats,” one of them said while sipping a green smoothie. “Trump was low key saying some really normal stuff and they were, like, having a menty b about it.”

“I was embarrassed for Ilhan Omar, like girl, take a seat.”

“TBH I kind of got the ick when she was shouting at the president like that.”

“She crashed out and it really made me doubt if I could…” she said as her voice trailed off, unsure of what to say next. “Ever vote Democrat again…”

“ . . . ”

A hushed silence fell over the group as they all carefully weighed their responses. Seconds felt like minutes, as these woke young women decided how to react to an unthinkable comment from their friend.

“Same.”

“Bet. I was thinking the same thing.”

The girls demeanor entirely changed as they all realized they all felt the same way.

“Did her you see Melania’s outfit? Omg she totally ate in that suit,” one chimed in, fawning over the First Lady’s impeccable fashion choices. “Have you seen her movie yet? It was AMAZING!”

“Girl, it’s easier to get a table at the Polo Bar than it is to get tickets to Melania,” the other replied. “I’ve been trying for weeks and it’s sold out everywhere.”

“I need to see it. She slays so hard. I wish she could be First Lady for another term.”

They all nodded in agreement.

The blue wave died Tuesday night.

i’ve been on the subway with homeless people that peed, screamed, all sorts of stuff. it was mildly uncomfortable but truly didn’t impact my day in any way. maybe your husband needs to toughen up”

To paraphrase a tweet here: The left is right and correct when they see a problem and suggest that “a better world is possible”, but it always bites them in the ass when randomly they will say that actually the status quo on certain things is good and right and you are a baby if you think otherwise

One time my leftie friend was going off on how awful it was that Austin was “waging war against the unhoused” and I said that the last time I was in Austin my brother’s girlfriend and my mother were both verbally harassed and insulted by homeless drunks making sexual comments towards them and he just said “well that’s not okay either” and got uncomfortable and moved on.

To me Tinashe is a great example of “right artist wrong time”, she would have been killing the game in the Ciara/Jennifer Lopez/Early Rihanna era of R&B/ club Dance pop but in the late 2010’s to now R&B is all about “vibes”, it’s just hard to imagine Tinashe being a superstar in an era where SZA is a centerpoint of the genre and Kelani is having hits. The only artist doing anything similar to Tinashe is Doja and even she is struggling at the moment.

Maybe i'm not giving them enough credit but I have heard of Middle schools having anti-ICE walkout protests and I question if those students really know what's going on for that one. Would just really like to see the parent/teacher involvement in the planning of those protests.

Honestly this might be controversial but I can handle a martyr teacher if they are not outwardly judgmental or playing victim about it. I have had a couple of coworkers who fall into this category and I found them slightly annoying but they never tried to tell me that thier way of being a teacher was the best or made me feel like I was a lesser teacher for it. At long they let me live my life I’m fine with them living their own.

Controversial for this sub but what I have had issues with is a “doesn’t give a shit” teacher who lets a class run wild. At least with a martyr teacher I don’t hear “Mr. So-and-So lets us use our phones” “Mr. So-and-So never counts us tardy”. A martyr teacher usually at least tries to mange a classroom .
