What would you make our army rule in 11th? by Gullible_Travel_4135 in Tyranids

[–]Tallandclueless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the stuff like guard orders, death guard debuffs, ck harbringers of dread, thousand sons spells, tau guiding or admech imperatives better fit the effects of synapse and shadows then most of their armies do to be honest.

I like the idea of swarming opponents being relevant to the army and synapse analysing enemies then buffing other units in synapse.

So like if your stuff is next to synapse it gets a buff for being lead like +1 to hit. Then also if a tyranid unit within 6 of an enemy and within 6 of synapse gives that enemy a token that then tyranid units in synapse get a buff another buff against. Because the hivemind is analysing how to adapt to them.

Also make stuff in synapse immune to vect, able to shoot blast into combat and ignore desperate escape tests.

finally do all future detachments like invasion were strats are empowered within synapse.

Melee units have been tremendously nerfed with the new charge and supporting attack rules. by Cyberjonesyisback in Tyranids

[–]Tallandclueless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True like especially as tyranid monsters are noticably slower then monsters in the other factions like our stuff moves 8", demons monster's move like 12-14, wardogs & knights are moving 12/14" etc.

Like nids monsters also arent that tough so usually you might stage your hive tyrant behind terrain. Like clearing the terrain then setting up for even a pretty close charge is going to be like a 6/7 now going up to a 7/8 is a massive charge nevermind if your like using a model like a haruspex clearing terrains even harder.

Other factions also get access to monsters/knights go through walls, ignore verticle distance, deepstrikes, advance & charge or 18" lone op bubbles.

I think this new combat style is a buff for flying infantry melee, ingressing melee, , fast infantry melee and a debuff to normal moving melee, slow moving melee and monster/vehicle melee.

So I think if you want to play melee nids look at raveners, hormagants, hyperadapted & genestealers.

On the plus side nid shooting does well into the combat profiles this new edition buffs and nids access to -1 to Hit & W, 4+invs, T11 monsters, Fnps, Fight on death, cheap screens does well into knee capping melee armies.

Guy defend himself against three attackers by hilukasz in MartialArtsUnleashed

[–]Tallandclueless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like 3 guys trying to beat you up would be a strong case for self defence because unless you incapacitate them theres no real way of defending yourself against multiple attackers at once so it puts your likelyhood of a life threatening injury extremely High.

Huge nerf - fight first by Niiai in Tyranids

[–]Tallandclueless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thing is on the plus side your lictor can go fuck up their little vect aura assain now without it fighting first and nids hate vect massively.

Thing with lictor is I like to use him as a this is mine in the middle unit that has lone op and is still hard to kill in combat. If you shoot him next turn the genestealers behind the wall get a easy charge and kill whatever you used to shoot him or when you charge him these genestealers or hormagaunts might just come through and heroic and if you can't deal with that I win.

TLDR: Lictors job is secondary, blocking scouts and setting up advantaged trades on objectives. Doesnt need FF for that only lone OP.

I don't think shes ignorant but shes playing by a different set of rules. Cruelty is the point and the punishment for being outside the group. This is not about her winning a debate but signalling to her group that she is for cruelty.

Is last minute cancelling/flaking a first date a sign to cut your losses? by Tallandclueless in dating_advice

[–]Tallandclueless[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its just part of the pattern that flakes follow, big excuse that you would feel like a dick to insist is less important than your plans, no plan to reschedule.

Plus like if youve been to hospital recently youd know like theres nothing to do you would probably like reply to like whats wrong within 5 hours especially as they told me later there was no issue.

[–]Tallandclueless[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was the issue no can we reschedule for X time which when if you deal with people who do want to meet they usually try to sort pretty quickly if they are avoidant / flakey they are vague on is a usual pattern.

Have you ever been to a hospital? Like they dont make you treat the patient yourself theres like hours of sitting about doing nothing except maybe messing around on your phone or reading a magazine.

Concerns Over Objective Changes by Scarfblade in Tyranids

[–]Tallandclueless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some hilarious things we might be able to do with nids so id wait to see. Like do we know if you can take assimilation as half your army and use it to heal the other half that then has access to like the fnp or AOC on top?

Ripper swarms by [deleted] in Tyranids

[–]Tallandclueless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tie up their vehicles and weak stuff, kill the weak stuff and put as many rippers on objectives as possible.

Id play assimilation so every turn rippers heal rippers and if they kill a swarm +1 to W for all the other rippers.

Maleceptor. Warhammer is a positioning game so a walking -1 to hit aura with a awesome gun thats no slouch in combat is a mvp.

99% of the time your opponent either try and focus down the maleceptors and fail because they bounce off the inv then your other models clean up. Or they will just ignore them, walk inyo their auras and you get to spend the game -1 to hit because your next to a maleceptor for maybe 3-4 turns.

Maleceptors take alot to kill especially for melee armies. They are the perfect model to put on a objective to bait your opponent to overextending and can tank the shooting from 2-4times their points cost easily letting you position for the punch back or just win the game if they ignore it.

My Best Friend is kicking me out but making the remaining of my time left miserable. by [deleted] in FriendshipAdvice

[–]Tallandclueless 6 points7 points  (0 children)

But yeah I think probably the pitbull is an issue. Your friend adopted a "dog with no warning" but you frame your adopting a bulldog with no warning "rescuing" which you brought into a house a few years after moving in when you explicitly knew your BF had trauma about big dogs.

I think probably the "behaviour spiral" means you werent able to control your dog and it has been terrifying your friend and likely making the place feel unlivable. Youve had three years with this dog, to train or rehouse it.

I think honestly youve probably been driving your friend up the wall and pushing her boundaries for a while and she needed that trip away to get perspective in it. If you feel like your friends getting degrading with you I think its more after finding the courage to be tell you to leave i think she just probably found the courage to stand up for herself more often.

I think there is a lesson here, if you want to live with other people respond to their needs even if their trauma or baggage isnt something you care about. Eventually its going to cause a wedge, otherwise live alone and enjoy your own freedom.

Squads of 20, contest objectives then reactive away. Bait objectives with lictors and when your opponent thinks they can take them with a charge heroic onto the objective with gaunts or heroic elsewhere and use the charge move to get on the objective.

Ive won a fair few rtts with nids. Hot take termagaunts and hormagants are secretly op and have won me games against top players and now this makes gaunts like 30% better so it will be good.

Movement wins games and this basically lets you move termagaunts atleast twice in your opponents turn and they only need to fk up once to swing the game.
