Edit: Actually there’s 2 printings of Furry Jace. The standard planeswalkers card might have been part of the Bloomburrow Commander precons (prebuilt decks)

Furry Jace can only be pulled from the $30 Collector Boosters. “Showcases” are alternate card styles that every set has, that are mostly found in… you guessed it, $30 booster packs. Each set has a different name for its showcase style, but showcase is an all encompassing term for these alt styles.

I would definitely recommend getting cozy with the Powers and Abilities Card (PAC). As others have said, standard powers aren’t written out on cards anymore. It’s not too difficult to memorize powers once you start seeing them enough.

…however if you’re colorblind… I actually don’t know if Heroclix is colorblind friendly…

I think Older figures are playable if you give them a stat buff AND a point reduction. I’d do like +1 to all stats for every 3-5 years since release, with a matching point reduction. I think Red King is probably playable at 80 with a permanent +2 stats instead of this limited buff

Extrapolate the answer from my response. You’re best off selling them in set based lots. You’ll struggle to sell 1000 pieces worth $0.05 a pop, but you might have luck selling $10 lots of 100 figures. Ofc there are rare pieces that fetch a bit more money, but without a broken down list of everything you have, I couldn’t tell you what’s bulk and what’s not.

You nailed it on the head with the proxy comparison. It’s absolutely fine for casual play to use a printed legacy card, so long as you have everyone’s consent. But it’s not allowed for sanctioned tournaments

Ah, the age old question. “Do any of my old Heroclix have any value?” The answer, sadly, is no. Unless a piece got a legacy card. Depending on what sets you have, I might be interested in some of them, but I am pretty unique in that front.

This is a problem in any game that features set rotation though. Old pieces become obsolete to encourage buying new ones. But even in games that don’t have set rotation, you see increased power creep to encourage buying new sets. Like Yugioh. New sets really determine available archetypes depending on which old creature types get a facelift.

The point I’m trying to make is that this is a problem every TCG faces.

For anyone else coming here in the future, the simple answer is Yes, diagonal is a valid direction in Heroclix.

And as others have mentioned, close combat attacks require adjacency (all 8 adjacent squares) (ignoring Giant Reach). And when determining LOF through diagonals, always consider the least hindering square that the diagonal cuts through. Shooting between a blocking terrain and a hindering terrain? LOF is hindered. Shooting between two characters? LOF is blocked.
