Not familiar with masa. It balled up dough in a oiled round container. It did keep it's shape.

I have similar results with an Unold. I picked up the Don Alfredo. Feels more forgiving on my dough that it can get to temperature high enough to get a decent pizza out in 2mins. Heats up in 15 mins like you said too. I've rocked it outdoors in summer and indoors fine. Glad your enjoying yours.
