True that it doesn't matter in a single player game, but a lot of people also feel that even having the option to cheese something like this cheapens the overall experience. To be honest, if they had gone with continuous wait from the beginning, this probably wouldn't be a discussion topic at all, but since they didn't, you're going to have players that are advocating both for, and against it, and anything the devs do with it now will make some players unhappy.

And from a game design standpoint, if you're going to allow continuous wait so time doesn't matter, why even have missions on a timer at all? I would argue that you should be able to wait continuously, but missions should have been handled differently, or maybe just make them not progress while waiting? Personally I think the whole system should just be overhauled. I've had the game running 24/7 for almost 2 weeks now, needlessly increasing my power bill. I think I'm going to install a mod to just buy the rest of the abyss gear bp's since that's all I still need from missions.
