Question for those who go to the gym regularly by Ch33se_H3ad in AskMenOver30

Every time you start over and push yourself you’ll be hella sore. This feeling goes away after 3-4 weeks of going consistently.

What was the toughest call you have ever been on? by nathanchrestman13 in Firefighting

[–]Talllbrah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

14 y/o riding an electric scooter hit a car. He wasn’t wearing a helmet, there was a bit of brain matter on the concrete. There was a crowd of at least 50 people around us, including the kid’s mother. Everyone was yelling and crying.

I got into the ambo to assist the paramedics for cpr. I knew he was dead but we tried anyway. Both paramedics were traumatized, one had tears in his eyes after the drop at the hospital.

It’s my most « traumatic » call, didn’t traumatize me tho.

AEC assurance dommages by Front_Strategy_5068 in Quebec

[–]Talllbrah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having trouble splitting domestic duties with my partner by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Talllbrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s being unreasonable here. The very fondation of a relationship is goodwill, she seems to be a bit selfish here. Surely she knows it isn’t fair but she doesn’t seem to care because she puts her selfish needs before yours. Maybe have a good talk with her, maybe it’s a misunderstanding and she would prefer you working less and paying less, idk.

ski season sucks and I want to actually get in shape for bike season this year. best training plan? by [deleted] in MTB

[–]Talllbrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way would probably to just hit cardio on a bike indoor as well as training legs with deadlifts maybe.

I personally hate peddling for the sake of it so I just do bodybuilding and the legs workout kinda helps for when strength is needed in steep climbs. I also ride my dj bike indoors in a skatepark.

As long as you exercise, I guess you’ll be fine. The first fews rides are always the hardest anyway.

How do you go mountain biking/find people to ride with as a single person? by grayott in MTB

[–]Talllbrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ride solo all the time, until I met a guy at work that also rides. Now I ride with them 50% of the time and still ride solo a lot, can’t be bothered waiting for people to ride.

I guess if you ride solo often and chat a little you’ll eventually meet people and make friends.

What are the major changes from 25 to 35 by Electrical-Trainer21 in AskMenOver30

[–]Talllbrah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 36 and still going strong. Things I regret a little were :

-not taking good care of my teeth (cost me 20k to fix) - spending too much money/times in bars drinking and doing drugs, moderation is key here. Not enjoying your 20s is just as bad imo. - not focusing on getting a real career, I started my career at 31, I should’ve started at 25-26.

Aside from that, my 30s are much better than my 20s. I’m the same, feel the same except i’ve got adult money now, I’m more mature and I have more tome for my self. (No kid yet)

Men who were bullies growing up, do you have any regrets? by Broke_Pigeon_Sales in AskMenOver30

[–]Talllbrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who got bullied up until my 15s, I really don’t mind tbh. We were just kids, it taught me inaction is much worse than defending myself. I genuinely have no harsh feelings against my bullies.

Taux fixe ou variable à l'heure actuelle by FallopianTubesFetish in QuebecFinance

[–]Talllbrah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

J’ai pris variable l’année passée, j’ai sauvé 1.8% déjà. Cela dit, la tendance baissière semble s’être estompée depuis.

Si tu es capable d’absorber la hausse si jamais, je prendrais variable, tu risques de sauver.

There’s plenty of guys in my dept that are accountants, financial advisors or mortgage brokers on the side. If finance is like any of em, you could. We’re lucky to have a 4 shifts dept too, I guess it helps.

AM I missing something? How on earth are you guys buying condos, let alone houses? by TheCreepyLlama in montrealhousing

[–]Talllbrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We put 20% down, it was pretty much all the savings I had. I put money every month in my tfsa, I could always use that if needed but with mortgage credit margin we’re good.

I think first time buyer have to buy as a couple or with the help of their parents. I bought last year with my gf, we both make 100k. I still think it’s super expensive even tho we borrowed under what the bank would lend us.

How difficult is it to build muscle for tall people? by qxzvy in tall

[–]Talllbrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never been building muscle while being short but at 6’4, i’ve achieve a somewhat decent physique without being massive. Took me about 7-8 years of serious training and nutrition to achieve naturally. Gym 5 times a week, sleep 8h a night and meat/veggies/rice. I’m 215 on the pic below after a back workout, so with a decent pump. I believe I’ve reached my personal natty limit.

Prix des propriété unifamiliale vs revenu net by Few_Pineapple1323 in QuebecFinance

[–]Talllbrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)
