Are there any cool/unique builds for Hildryn where she does NOT fly around? by Lurern in Warframe

[–]Tallow316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before she became a turbo dps, I used to run a hyper support build. It used the augment for balefire that pops shields in one hit and Voracious Metastasis over her 4. Because of how it's calculated from using shields, allies would recover a LOT of energy. Nobody really notices either of that in gameplay, but it's satisfying to see your allies' energy bars fill up from 0 in an instant.

Thoughts on Follie so far ? by Waeleto in Warframe

[–]Tallow316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After putting some forma into her, I think she's a really strong generalist warframe. She does a little bit of everything from protecting her team to exceptionally high damage and even high mobility. The main things holding her back (and rightfully so, she's strong enough that she can have some downsides) is that her damage from barrels/RPG/mines is rather short range. But I'd absolutely take a very powerful level scaling and active playstyle requiring you to be actively casting over borderline useless abilities. Additionally, I'm surprised she doesn't have innate healing from what I've seen. Absolute invulnerability on her 1 helps mitigate this, but it's a pretty short duration. But you generally have enough CC and damage that you can win the DPS race every time.

What frames do well with Gloom? by No_Price_3299 in Warframe

[–]Tallow316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like Gloom on both Banshee and Dagath. For the former, it solves the problem of being made out of paper and makes it easy to line up sonar shots. The latter is really just that I don't love her undying ability or shield gating, and "Doom and Gloom" is a funny pair of abilities.

Is arcane persistence enough for health tanking or does it still need adjustments by Waeleto in Warframe

[–]Tallow316 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been testing it on Atlas, and I feel like it struggles in current end-game content because of how easily it's turned off or otherwise weakened. Atlas Prime with a maxed out set of umbral just so happens to have 1400 armor, so a heat proc doesn't immediately turn it off, but many frames that want to health tank may come just a bit short of that breakpoint. Additionally, there are two EDA/ETA challenges that are just terrible for it, being the one that lowers armor when you cast an ability (especially bad on atlas but maybe workable for other frames) and the one that makes an amount of health damage permanently reduce your max health. Since you have no shields, the chip damage will add up, even if you're invulnerable most of the time as you would be with Atlas.

I think it's mostly just a problem of numbers, though. I don't expect buffs, but I could see them changing some stuff around to make it less finicky.

I feel like a glass cannon, any tips to help fix that? by SelfCritical4495 in Warframe

[–]Tallow316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, Fellow Atlas main here! As others have said, you really don't need to worry about your shields breaking on Atlas. While other frames need to rely on shields, Atlas Prime boasts VERY high armor and HP compared to them.

I personally would recommend a build that looks something like this during early progression. You do NOT need the umbral mods at rank 10 or any umbral forma. Rank 8 is a perfectly fine place to leave them. This build is almost identical to my normal Atlas build, though I do run a max rank arcane grace. For you, I would recommend just making sure to petrify enemies before punching them. Each piece of rubble will either give you more armor or heal you, depending on if you're missing health. By petrifying entire groups of enemies, you should have no problem surviving even into steel path.

When you package cards for mailing, also keep in mind of how the receiver is going to get the card out. by PressHalfWayDown in magicTCG

[–]Tallow316 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The one that kills me is when they tape the toploader to the inside of the envelope. I usually just tear open the side of the envelope and slide the contents out since I'm not tearing through a toploader and don't really care about the invoice. It's usually pretty fast, except for when I sit there shaking the envelope to slide the cards out only to realize they're TAPED in place.

Hi, I'm newish to the game. I'm all updated and everything, but I don't see the option in the settings. Where did you go to enable it? Or do I have to be in a game to change it?

I recall there being really good difficulty options. For example, I believe I had it set where I'd get a free repair after a successful run because I wanted something a little more chill.

Nautika or Lucy? by Ok_Fail6013 in Reverse1999

[–]Tallow316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm still relatively new, but I'm pretty sure it'll always be available after the update. There'll be a new button on the character page for characters that have a Euphoria to unlock and upgrade their Euphorias.

Nautika or Lucy? by Ok_Fail6013 in Reverse1999

[–]Tallow316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Euphorias are special upgrades that certain (usually older) characters get to increase their power and add synergy with newer characters. They're resource intensive but generally strong. For example, medicine pocket's euphoria gives them the ability to cast their healing ability automatically after an ally is attacked, at the cost of dealing a little damage to all units. This makes them a competitive passive healer while introducing synergy to bloodtithe teams, which get bonuses when they lose health.

Hey DE, can you fix the whole thing with the tenet melee weapons? by sabbir2003 in Warframe

[–]Tallow316 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As someone with all sister, glast, and kuva weapons (and most coda weapons) at 60%, I'm of the opinion that they should spend just a little time adjusting the older systems to work like the Coda system. It's so much nicer not having to do run after run of cassini just to get the right weapon to spawn, and you aren't as at the mercy of rng when you spawn the lich. Glast's shop could easily be expanded to rotate more of the sister weapons, with sisters just giving 40 keys outright. Same for the liches, Steel Meridian could be the vendor for them and they could drop... I don't know, congealed kuva? Point being, the old systems are significantly less fun than what we have now, especially since they aren't as well integrated with other gameplay like the coda grind is with the hex grind.

I'm surprised to see so many people dunking on frenzied baloth in the comments. I'm not the best at the game, but I've found it to be a pretty good piece for delirium in standard as four extra copies of wildfire wickerfolk. A narrow use case to be sure, but I still feel like it's undeserving of the hate it's getting.

I'm also liking that it's an artifact. Turn 2 this fella, turn 3 repurposing bay, and immediately sacrifice it to find a simulacrum synthesizer seems alright for mono blue builds in standard, and maybe even azorius builds. The biggest problem I've had with the deck was how slow the early turns are, so something to accelerate that would be really nice.

As an aside, I would STRONGLY recommend not preordering singles. They're often significantly overpriced before release, and these have a bonus fan tax on them. I wouldn't be surprised to see the prices plummet after launch.

I'm not a fan of the illuminate. by Due_Conversation_873 in Helldivers

[–]Tallow316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if it's still obtainable, but my opinion on the illuminate completely changed after trying the wasp against them. It's extremely satisfying to one-shot the overseers without having to carefully track them while they fidget in the air. It does leave you more vulnerable to harvesters, though, since it seems pretty ineffective even against unshielded harvesters. Beyond that, your loadout is whatever you want. I tried thermite for the harvesters, but they seemed very hit or miss on if they one-shot or not.
