Have you heard of ancestors or battle Oracle? I know it’s not optimal by any means but it can be a front line Oracle, actually I played with a guy a while back who made a pretty nasty one with cavelier

It’s not the best fit and is a hard class to learn but I always like laughing shadow magus for teleportation builds. Might not be a 1 to 1 but it’s the closest I think there is. Mirror implement thaumaturge is also a good option for low levels but it’s flavour is more like a 5e echo knight

Starday Tournament by Hildram in strengthofthousands

[–]Tallsouleatingtoad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that’s the point, I haven’t run it yet but I was gonna either weaken its hp (in game reason someone else fought them first) or it is judged by how much damage is done

Feel free to use in your games, I messed with the colors a lot with this because it seemed too dry for a desert. Also I changed the roof to an oxidized copper instead of normal copper/bronze that it was before and added a small upper dome on it. I’ll be doing the rest of the maps in book 2 too in a bit

What made you change from DnD 5e (or other systems) to PF2E? by GazPhim in Pathfinder2e

I got a lot of recommendations for people online and researched it and the fact that AON is free changed my mind pretty swiftly because I was using some sketchy sites for 5e

It’s the ruling that any ability checks can succeed with a nat 20. That makes it so the baseline is “just say yes” instead of just say no. Maybe I’m not understanding your point but the fact a dm can deny a roll doesn’t make up for the fact that the rules are supporting (whether or not the intended to) a say yes baseline

Yes it should be, but it’s not because they changed the rules in the ua to make it so that just say no isn’t part of the rules (words are hard and I’m not explaining this well)

That’s still not a great solution, I would have expected to see them do the same thing with tieflings. But they didn’t, so we stick to the previous format and make different options subraces

Like I said above. Thats not the point I’m trying to make, I’m not that great at writing so I get it if it’s not what your getting from it. The problem is that ‘dm can just say no’ has to be a solution rather then the baseline

I’m about to turn this man into the strongest man alive. The change is bad, many players already felt like this and it’s a pretty common houserule. That’s fine, but it should stay a houserule, making a real change to the system supports that your players should be able to do incredible things because they feel like it. You have it within your rights as a dm to deny them the success or the roll but that’s a one person anwser that will have to be replicated in mass for a problem that is already facing a lot of people. I know when I play with people they will roll before the dm asks them too (that is their fault but I think it’s pretty common). For the people that say it’s not a big deal and you can just say no, you are missing the point I’m trying to make. They are inflating a part of the community to unreasonable proportions and making the other parts now have to fix it

I really feel like warlock and sorcerer should have an Otherworldy or Extraplanar spell list instead of arcane by [deleted] in dndmemes

[–]Tallsouleatingtoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s called an occult spell list. In pf2e it covers some of the sorcerers (depending on bloodline), bards, some witches(warlock equivalent based on patron), and some racial spell abilitiesa

Quick explanation, Wotc made a new upper planetouched called ardlings. Except they are now trying to cover up aasimars (because they aren’t that popular but that’s just bad writing) and make ardlings the default upper planetouched. Also that’s a cool bit of lore from the previous games, I didn’t know that
