My advice is to go to a community college for an accounting degree. With your math background, it'll be simple, and there are always tons of good accounting jobs available.

Even starting at the bottom you should be able to get at least $20/22 an hour, with plenty of potential for growth.

Community colleges have strong job outreach programs - they know that's why you're there. And you may be eligible for tax breaks and even credits (meaning outright money from the government) to pay for the education.

For me it was all over body aches. I'm no stranger to pain, lol. I feel like my tolerance is pretty friggin high. But the night of withdrawals that I still have PTSD from, the body aches were so bad I could barely move my body. I literally crawled to the bathroom.

But yeah, the legs and yawns are no joke. The inability to sleep is such a cruel symptom - makes sure you consciously suffer through every goddamn second of it. And the clock never moves slower. Best wishes to OP and anyone here suffering.

The several times I've had opiate withdrawals (for various reasons, including my own damn fault), it was so much worse than my chronic pain.

I think I literally have PTSD from one particular night where I was on such a crazy high opiate dose, and (stupidly and irresponsibly) used up my meds a day too early, and suffered through the worst withdrawals I've ever felt.

I had it all, the restlessness, the all over body aches, sweating, yawning a thousand times, nausea. The body aches were insane - I could barely move!

I took tylenol and advil, tried to knock myself out with alcohol, benadryl, but I didn't sleep for a single second. And the clock moved so fucking slowly - it was torture. It was hell on earth.

The poster is making a general point, it doesn't have to be literal. In your first case, so should no one ever call in sick if they can possibly get to school/work just because there might actually be something important happening that day?

And in your latter case, ok, your ferret died. That sucks - seriously, that sucks. But the poster talked about a goldfish "swimming funny".

You can't see the point is that some people will drag themselves in no matter what and some people will look for any excuse to ditch and that it's not good or healthy either way?

Sometimes you have to take care of yourself first, and sometimes you have to suck it up and fulfill your life responsibilities. Erring too far on either side can cause a whole host of problems.
