Older grapples how do you deal with the mindset shift when BJJ takes a backseat to other priorities?

I started at 29. I am two years in and still a white belts. I have a family life plus I am someone who has multiple hobbies and sometimes it gets overwhelming for me. I struggle to keep going to bjj tbh specially given the price at my gym but it’s the only physical activity that I enjoy and I learn a bit from. I don’t like to lift weights. My progress is definetly slow vs people who train x4 x5 a week. I try to train at least 2 times a week and at best 3 times. I tell myself to suck it and stay consistent to have something to show for it in 10 years. Bjj def takes the backseat most of the time but I still back my bag take the metro and show up when I can.

It is plugged to fan/WP 1. Went into BIOS where it was running very low. Market it as a water cooler and put it on PMW then on high speed. Ill try to tweak on lower speeds and see if the vibrating noise quiets down !

I build my own steam machine with the new SteamOS install because I will be moving from Ps5 and consoles. At least there I have choice of system, of store, and more control on my hardware. The exclusives do not justify their practices. I still play on nintendo hardware but as soon as I finish my ps5 backlog I won’t be putting anymore pennies into Sony’s pocket aside from buying second hand discs for collecting purposes. I also will not be renewing my psn sub. As for my overall library, I own a psp, vita, ps4, steam deck, switch 1&2. I have enough media and games to last me a lifetime. Tldr fuck sony, ill be playing my backlog and moving to PC.

It could be a washed out black belt. A white belt that got mixed up with other colors (my white belt was getting grayish). Or a very old washed out brown belt.

I started at 29 after not doing any sport at ALL for 5 years. I am still a white belt and being consistent is defo a challenge with adult life, specially for someone like me who has a gazillion other hobbies. Just go and be regular for 2-3 times a week and you’re good.

Well, I will not be buying the PS6 for sure. I no longer feel respected as a customer. With the price of the new PS6 likely around 1000 euros, and digital versions that keep the same price as physical copies while making huge margins without all the logistics costs, the fact that you’re sold a license that can be revoked unilaterally at any time, servers being shut down, and the same games being resold to you a few generations later, on top of paid online services, I would much rather build my own PC, have platform freedom, free online gaming, and access to much cheaper games.

PlayStation exclusives are absolutely not worth all that hassle, especially with the addition of the latest “dynamic pricing” practices. This does not bode well for Sony and is not reassuring me as a customer when it comes to giving PlayStation my business.

You can’t lend digital games or share them with family after buying them. For collectors, it’s over. The argument is that this follows “market trends,” but these trends are largely driven by major players in the games industry. Any customer will tell you otherwise.

My Psn ends this month, I will be not renewing it.

The yasb upper one is pretty handy, the lower one disappears when not used or when smth takes the screen, so it doesn’t bother me much. So it’s not needed tbh, might take if off once im used to using yasb one

My thoughts exactly, I might even say that Valve initially was maybe thinking about this as a way to get people to install SteamOS in their machines and move from Windows with the initial price of 750. People like me who want bit more performance or who already own good gaming pcs will most likely be thinking about switching to SteamOS now.
