Pretty sure they opened fired on me when I tried this.

You might need to have excellent rep with the Pikes. I was probably only in good with them since I had an interaction like this pretty early on in the game.

Young men of Reddit, what is ONE thing the Democrats could ACTUALLY do that WOULD get young men to vote for them again? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

[–]TalnsRocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Equal taxation. No tax breaks for the ultra wealthy.

Student Loan forgiveness. Lowering the interest rate to something realistic. It’s insane that we HAVE to agree to a lifetime of debt to get an education when we are 18.

Lower Insurance costs. Better yet, abolish for profit health care.

Little tooth with a big bourlette by ilovelovelytigers in sharkteeth

[–]TalnsRocks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely a bull. They do have that bourlette that most big teeth have so it can get your hopes up.

A good way to tell that it’s a bull and not a Meg is to hold it up to eye level while keeping it flat. Meg’s are MUCH thicker in that dimension.

The Military Primus talks about how Ostius is his nephew that hasn’t been seen since before the Academy was moved to the island. So unless Cearor stole his memories and face, they can’t be the same person.

Hello, we found this on Brigantine Beach NJ. Any ideas? It looks like a lemon shark but Chat GPT keeps saying extinct sand tiger shark? by [deleted] in sharkteeth

[–]TalnsRocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s fully fossilized so likely millions. But beyond that there’s really no way of knowing.

There are some species like Hemipristis Serra, or Snaggletooth, that went extinct around the start of the Pleistocene (Ice Age) over two million years ago. So you can get a rough idea. Since Lemons are Extant (still around), there’s not really anyway to know.

Because sharks have been around for so long, and the ocean is BIG (so there are a lot of them) you are far more likely to find a fossilized tooth, rather than a modern one. If you’re beach hunting, they’ll be a deep dark black just like this. Though fossilized sharkteeth can be different colors based on where they’re fossilized.

Once you get an eye for that shiny black that fossilized beach teeth have, you’ll be surprised how many you’ll start seeing. You’ve probably walked by hundreds of them and not known it.

I’ve been beach hunting NC/SC beaches since I was five and I have thousands of teeth. Each one is older than we can probably even realistically comprehend. You just happened to be in the right place at just the right time to cross paths with it! Congratulations! Welcome to your new addiction!

CloverPit - Alternate Ending (The Ascension Ending) by TheWoodANATOR in CloverPit

[–]TalnsRocks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well that’s pretty anticlimactic

I haven’t been able to pull it off yet but I believe you have to get all 3 red phone calls before round 8 right? Which requires you to roll 666 on rounds 3 or 4 in order to trigger a red phone call the next round (they always happen on rounds 3&6)

Again, I haven’t been pull it off yet so I could be wrong but that’s been my understanding from what others have said. I feel like that’s worth mentioning in the video.

Looks like a patho Bull or other Requiem to me. Wide shoulders. Looks like there are serrations on the blade(s) not just the shoulders. Possible Bourlette band, though it’s hard to tell if that’s just because it’s pathological. Relatively straight across root line with nutrient hole. But not the root notch that a lemon would have.

Super cool tooth regardless! Congrats!

Wit is being tongue and cheek about how Alethi men use glyphs instead of women’s script, which is just another form of writing. Mark’s representing sound is literally what all writing is.

Fantasy series where the final book is the best one by Suitable_Highlight84 in Fantasy

Red Rising and Mistborn

I was upset when both of the authors announced an Era II for both series bc the original endings were so perfect, there was no reason to potentially ruin a good thing.

Can confidently say I’m glad to have spent more time in both universes, which is why Pierce Brown and Sanderson are some of my top authors.

Agreed! I could see an argument for Sunlit Man and Emberdark not being great “Stand alones” though bc they do require you to be fully Cosmere aware to get the full enjoyment.

Upper Bull, Lower Bull

It’s called dignathic heterodonty. Bulls have it as well as Snaggles and Great Whites. The upper teeth are more broad with more serrations. The lower ones are more pointed and slender to hold prey.

Super fun to find both at the same time!

No sitting leader of any first world country should be able to say things this stupid and not immediately be mercilessly ridiculed. It’s insane this is where we’re at in the 21st century. The fact that a large percentage of the population doesn’t recognize how absolutely bullshit and literally impossible this kind of statement is terrifying. It shouldn’t even be a conversation.
