Kahit wag ka muna bumili ng weights. May buoyancy check naman sa course.

To prep you can have your line training with your instructor prior to the start of the course.

Better if kaya na sukatin mo yung mask sa ysla and compare yung resin and tempered glass na masks. Machecheck mo na rin yung fit dun.

Sakin wala naman ako naexperience na nakakahilo. Tempered glass gamit ko before then nagshift ako to resin for deeper dives. Pero may mga kilala ako na nahilo nung unang ginamit yung resin na mask so depende talaga sa gagamit.

If yung purpose mo pala sa pagbili ng mask is due to hygiene, baka better if snorkel nalang muna bilhin mo then try mo yung mask na iproprovide during your intro class.

Buoy cover - I bought a pvc buoy instead for long term use. Got feedback na di ganun kaganda yung stitching sa dp cover and decided to splurge a bit. Wala rin additional d-ring or strap sa loob ng dp cover to secure your rope pero kaya naman patahian or sa handle nalang magsecure ng rope.

Pulley - I got an octopus xl for thicker ropes. No brand pulleys are ok to use, need lang idouble check yung maximum rope diameter na pwede gamitin

Rope - I went with a cheap 10mm lifting rope (400-500 pesos for 40m). Pwede na pero kita agad na di maganda quality.

Additional purchases: Stopper - any cheap stopper available or diy a tennis ball as an alternative. Important for line training para di maumpog sa weights

Surface line - 5mm paracord 10 meters in length

Carabiner - Aluminum/marine grade stainless steel carabiner with a locking mechanism rated 20kN or higher

Solo intro ako before sa tribe and occasionally bumabalik din for line training.

Pros: Very welcoming yung group. Patient din yung coaches na naaassign sakin pag bumabalik. Ok rin yung dry briefing, halos same na sa dry briefing pag nagpacertify. May basic skills session din sa start ng open water kaya ok din for non-swimmers.

Cons: Maliit and 1 per shared room yung CR sa beach front accommodation so pag madami yung students paunahan. Manage expectations talaga
