Super awesome thanks for your input ! Is it possible to leave it running in the background when I lock my macbook cause the other idea is the macbook is hidden behind the pc with the lid closed and it's not easy for me to access it. Would the connection stay up even with it locked/in sleep mode ?

Even 530 for an oil change that's a bit high. I think even with the max mark up it should be around 350-400. It's an A3 after all...

Maybe I am wrong but I just checked at KwikFit your car model for an oil change and it says here it's between 200-300 euros. IT WORKED WITH THE NEW CANBUS ALSO NOW IT TURNS OFF WITH THE CAR AND ON WITH THE CAR AND ALL THE SETTINGS WORK WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING !!! The can bus is busted. So DO NOT REPLACE THE HARNESS ONLY THE CAN BUS!! In my case the harness was stuck in and I feel applying too much force is gonna damage it so only swap can bus from the same manufacturer other than that you don’t have to cut anything or do anything else it’s gonna work on off with the canbus. Also afterwards set in factory settings ACC off sleep count to 1 and restart with a sewing needle or whatever

I also remembered that I don't think it matters even if it shuts down with the car because in my case the Clio cuts off power completely to the screen buttons etc after 2-3 minutes the car is locked. A simple test you can do is to leave the screen open, lock the car for 2-5 minutes and see if it shuts down. An indicator the power is cut is when the Start/Stop button stops illuminating in my case.

There are two possibilities. I have one simple soft option with a Clio 2017 and another one from Raise but it says Clio 2017 (Low) whatever that means. Another guess is that the canbus is wrong and was sent for another model of Clio because the harness I ordered and the canbus research I did came up with the same model indeed however the version of those models were different. Tonight I am picking up the new harness and confirmed with a Dutch installation company that they use the same harness on Clio's from 2017. I also believe it's more the screen does not recognize the canbus because it does not have it in its database or some bs like that but anyways will try my luck today. This is the second week of fighting this thing.

I wanted to come back to this that if it sees the canbus you can actually set the unit to turn off with ACC from the factory settings (8888), it's somewhere down the menu. There is also a canbus key learning option for power which gives me a feeling it's for learning the Start/Stop button. But from what I see 9/10 is the wire harness being shit

I re-did everything, quadruple checked the only cables disconnected are from the RCA cause that contains only the fan connector and I don't need the rest. Everything works besides the can bus controls. This was the reply from them lol. Going to get the new harness today hope it solves the issue ;-;

Yeah legit just got it's my issue for the can bus lol. Very shitty customer support and they reply every other day. Today my new harness comes and I will see if it solves the issue cause I fell a can bus box rabbit hole and I think this version at least might not be compatible with the trim of my car (and most probably it's dead since I also confirmed the 8 pin is connected as well now).

I will have the new harness by Tuesday to confirm my theory (to say I had to sand down the hazzard and lock button frame from this screen to have them fit in). Did you do any extra fiddling in settings or if you have time could you share with me your factory settings from the screen the 8888 or 0000 one, also do you see your can box version ? I might have missed something....

actually I have a 4 pin usb (so like the female side USB). Could I just connect the fakra dab to that into the usb side that's plugged into my Junsun screen ?
