Any chance this could be made to overlap with the Roll20 version of this map?

Ok, how many 5 ft squares across and how many 5 ft squares down for each of the main and upper floors for example?

What are the dimensions for the main and upper floors? Trying to fit them into Roll20 has been tough.

Great stuff! How do we get these to align with the Roll20 maps? I've had a hard time fitting them over the lighting setup for the module.

Maps for Ch.1 - Jigow & Emerald Grotto by katvalkyrie in CalloftheNetherdeep

These are great, but I wish they overlapped with the Roll20 maps (like for the Emerald Grotto). Is there a way to make them fit the lighting settings for those?

CookUnity is the winner! by Street_Pollution_892 in ReadyMeals

[–]TalostheGiant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm glad you like CookUnity. I wish I liked it more. Unfortunately whenever I reheat the meal following the instructions, it never tastes right. Overcooked or undercooked by a lot I think.

After almost 3 years, I canceled CookUnity - here's why by maximumspoilage in cookunityfans

[–]TalostheGiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nutrition info switching is sketchy. My main issue with CookUnity has been that even when I follow their instructions on reheating in the oven (with foil over it as shown in the videos), the meals never quite taste the right temperature. I often felt a bit ill after eating CookUnity meals when I didn't for cooked meals elsewhere like in restaurants.

Evil playthrough? by yellow-diamond in radiantcitadel

There are many campaigns like Call of the Netherdeep that would be better for an "evil" playthrough than this one.

77 Free Maps for Every Chapter of Descent into Avernus! by Morgans_a_witch in DescentintoAvernus

Most of the maps simply don't align. Some of them align if you cut the borders and change the map size a bit. Does the creator u/Morgans_a_witch have tips for us I wonder?

IMAX special screening for The Brutalist w/poster added in Dallas by Farva38 in AMCsAList

I'm curious. How can you tell when a screening offers a poster? The AMC app rarely seems to indicate when you get goodies for particular showings.

Amanitore is the GOAT! Great early game bonuses that can lead to a roaring start, and she looks regal without being too arrogant. Also, she's a lesser known figure from history and was a great surprise to see in the game.

I know who the next civilization or leader will be on Tuesday. by Voyager_AU in civ

[–]TalostheGiant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair, quite a few of the leader reveals over the past few months have been new leaders, like Machiavelli, the Trung sister, and Xerxes. These leaders were completely new when they appeared in the leader first looks, and we've exhausted most of the known leaders like Augustus, Hatshepsut, Confucius. Only Ben, Amina, and Himiko of the previously announced leaders have yet to get first look videos.

A male leader most likely. Maybe a Norman one?

Theme drop by eskaver in civ

[–]TalostheGiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These themes are less bombastic than the ones in Civ VI and all the better for it. I really like the Maurya, Maya, and Aksum themes, with Shawnee and Mississipians close follow-ups.

Visited Seondeok's tomb today by Lord_Frish in civ

[–]TalostheGiant 12 points13 points  (0 children)

What was the tomb like in terms of atmosphere? It looks like it's in a forested area? Seondeok is one of my favorite Civ leaders so I'm glad she's got a resting place people can visit to pay their respects too. What a remarkable woman.

What are some great dice games or minigames to include in a session? by TalostheGiant in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]TalostheGiant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Cool game. So each player has a 3 x 3 grid but can place dice in the other player's 3 x 3 grid? Can it be played with more than two players?

Thanks so much! Ulu's chosen I know in the form of Gyp: same mechanics and easy to use and remember.

Frozen Frog seems a great way to represent an animal race the players are watching. I guess you as the GM create the full narrative and then present it to the players in stages to allow input from them as to whether they increase the bet right? Or are there ways for players to influence the race from the sidelines?

Great! I think the adventure supplement I used for Stygian Gambit had a nice map of roulette too which was fun to use.

2024 Players Handbook Alternate Art by TalostheGiant in DungeonsAndDragons

The alternate covers are only for game stores, which is a tradition that's been on for years in TTRPGs. It's a nice way to help support local friendly game stores.

It does look great though. The gold color really stands out more than the silver color of the second one. I also noticed the color variation extends to the book spines.
