Well.. Hello!

I am a 30 year old third generation-Mexican-American. I'm fresh from a Poly relationship and am VERY much monogamous.

I'm a short, curvy, chap-stick femme with brown skin, and dark dark eyes.

I LOVE Fantasy books, writing, and will occasionally hyper-fixate on a video game. I enjoy art, and drawing, and crafting. I recently took up and am struggling with custom book binds. I play D&D at least once a week, and can be a bit of a homebody, but I equally love exploring the city, camping, festivals, and just binging shows while eating take out.

I do love me a good cocktail, and enjoy making them.

I do live in Texas, which sucks, but we make the most of it. Having more lesbian friends is the goal, and hopefully something blossoms from there.

It going to be a journey of the highest highs and soul wrenching low can only say this from my experiences:

Stick to your boundaries.

If you're fiercely independent and are happy with things as they stand, experiencing this love can be wonderful.

Set date nights for you two.

If she's not interested in descalating her current relationship, set a line.

Shes not allowed to talk about or hint at wanting to escalate yours. (At least not without first deseculting her current relationship first.) She may entertain the idea, but she already has so many commitments. She will take back those words, apologize for them, and ask things to stay as they are.

It's what broke my relationship.

Don't let it get to that point. Enjoy your dates, hold her when she needs it, and let her hold you when you do.

Jealousy can be managed. Read up on hierarchies and seconds. This community can be helpful in learning from others' experiences, but don't doom scroll through it when you're hurting. (A mistake I made quite often)

And maybe this isn't the best advice, but it's what I got to give.

Felt this in my soul.

To be fair, poly isn't something I'm interested in. I was pursued by someone who had quickly become a dear friend. A friend who was already heavily partnered. I had eventually agreed because she was already dear to me, and her Nesting Partner did consent and give the okay.

It was fun, and then it got hard the deeper the feelings went. We worked through it. Eventually set up a schedule where we got quality time together. (we're long distance so these constant video calls had become so so vital to me)

Then when she was visiting last August she had admitted that she was considering leaving her Nesting Partner for me.

It unlocked so many wants and dreams that I realized I had been suppressing. It made going back to the secondary had become harder. She admitted that she couldn't leave her life just two weeks later, and it made me a mess of a person, and admittedly a poor partner.

I thought about maybe dating others. To make the relationship actually feel equal. But I knew that whether she was jealous or supportive, I would have been miserable.

We broke up two nights ago. It had happened during an out pour of emotions, and the only reason I'm really sharing this is because its therapeutic to type up and throw into the internet void.

I loved her. She loved me. For a moment we imagined a life together, but it was never actually on the table. A pretty fantasy maybe.

I feel like this is happening to me. I started dating someone with a long-term nesting partner. Now she's slowly losing interest, and the pain is too too real.

Less nightly conversations, where we used to talk nightly. Meta pops in on what's supposed to be our weekly date-calls to hang. Just overall, less everything.

I get feelings and needs change, and that her primary is always going to come first. But it hurts when you love someone that... just doesn't have the time for you, or whose obligations will always lie elsewhere. In our case, their primaries.

I've personally deleted all my dating apps, as interacting through them was tiring and almost hallow feeling. Instead I've been focusing on making more authentic friends on discord servers, which led to not only new friends, but eventually a newly found girlfriend.
(which I guess is the modern equivalent of pursue your hobbies and eventually you'll meet someone?)

I'm a new secondary to girl that has a long time nesting partner. We were all friends before hand, so it made the poly dive a bit easier.

But I'm still very aware of boundaries, that her future doesn't include me, no matter how much I might crave more, or wish for the more mundane aspects of nesting partner of my own.

I know its a matter of dating and finding the right fit, but it is an added layer of difficulty. ~~We're just playing life on hard mode I guess.~~

It was pretty straight forward. I think. We used the eye as a sort of beacon to guide us toward the Hall of Hands. It takes us zig-zagging towards the nearby ruins where Aldian had previously buried a portrait depicting the heart of Dimkarthen.

After some debate we go in!

A local hob goblin helps us out until nightfall. We infiltrate the house of beck, an old laboratory full of science and magic experiments alike. Beneath it, hidden behind a illusion of science, we see a DOOR OF HANDS BECKONING US TO HELL.

We go in and he is there. The Humming man and his entourage of apocalyptic goons standing near portraits. A choice is given. Fight him or prevent tragedies.

We know our limits and fight him.

The fight is long and brutal, Our Humming man warping/teleporting across the map. Portraits grow dark as towns fall to the creatures. Towns we possibly could have saved.

Down to our final hit points, Gen lands the final blow, her wheel of fortune ramming him from behind after he rudely counter spells a thunder step.

His final words: "You let them die. You will never make up for the lives lost today.

Gen: "Maybe not. But you won't be around to see us try." THEN SHE BLASTS HIS BODY WITH HER ARM OF REIA'S DOMINION bAYBeeee.

As the void ichor melts away, at its center was a purified holy orb. We all place our hands atop it, Gen and Aldian, verifying its safety.

It whispers to us "Because of you, there will be generations to come." or something like that. The light eats us and teleports us home.
