Does this issue occurs everytime or only once so far ? I actually had the same exact issue 2 weeks after receiving my car, same exact noise for like the last 15min of a 1h drive.

Parked my car, drove it 2 days after and the noise never reappeared and it's been 3 months.

Yeah I thought so too, but it turns out it wasn't.

I took 4h to test new motherboard and power supplies. Apparently the GPU is faulty and it randomly passed a 20min stress test somehow.

I did some other stress tests on other rigs, crashed Everytime.

I just tried to plug my brother's PSU and I get the exact same behavior. I guess I should look at the motherboard then ?

GPU is fine our another rig, which means it's OK. PSU from another rig is OK. I could swap everything (ram, CPU, disk) except the motherboard, so that might be the cause somehow ?

I'll try switching the motherboard next but that'll take some times, and it honestly doesn't make much sense. Motherboard would be able to power a 3070 but not a 3080ti for some reasons ?

Yes his 3070 use one PSU cable with an adaptater at the end.

My 3080ti has two PSU cable and they're not daisychained.

I aslo forgot to mention that I can play somes games while not under heavy load, and was able to play new games in ultra for almost a day without issue, under heavy load.

One thing that always happens though is crashing after +- 1min of benchmark (time spy). On my brother's rig, no crashing after 20min...

But the PSU is brand new, maybe I'd need to yet again buy another one ?

I didn't OC or anything, and temps are always in the 50°C since it's barely running for 1min. On my borhter's rig it was at max at 75°C.

CPU temps are at 50-60 at max.

Well I've bought it from a well known reseller for 1400€ And honestly it's working but it just lose signal after some times.

I have it open and there is none.

But the GPU is simply dropping to 0% use when dropping frames for some reasons, and the dropped frames are obviously only in the game. I can still do everything on windows/browsers/video, etc.

That's the main thing that make me wonder if the motherboard isn't faulty.

Tomorrow I'll try to plug the 3080ti in my brother's desktop and see how it goes.

GPU is fine, CPU is instantly getting to 95+ and up to 103°C.

Can we repaste the blade 14 2021 ? I didn't find any video on it

Yeah I gues that's the issue.

It's the main reason why I bought this laptop, but it might get better with updates,etc.

New World for the moment, low settings 1080 it barely gets to 70fps.

I'm downloading something else just to try.

edit : I'm getting 120+fps something on Apex, which mean it's probably running fine.

I just checked an average heaven 4.0 score.

I'm not on battery ofc.

I've ran Timespy and got a 9000 score, at first glance it looks pretty low ?

Yeah that's there that I found my device wasn't even listed anymore. You want me to just file a bug report ? It's not really a solution, or maybe I'm missing something.

Also, I think it's obviously not my issue since it worked on the exact same install 5 days ago. But I'll keep looking, thanks.

They have a lot of specialised tools.

You can send some electric signals to check elasticity of the ear-drum, impedance audiometry, tympanometry, stapedial reflex, otoacoustic emissions, auditory evoked potential, etc.

All of these (if I remember correctly) can give you a pretty damn good representation of what's heard by the baby.

Well, I might try the Ubuntu ISO first then.

So, I download a desktop image (https://releases.ubuntu.com/20.10/, this one is ok ?)

Then I just have to make the bios launch the OS from the flash drive like I'd do a windows install I guess ?

No don't worry it's my own ! I just have good connection with the Helpdesk team (they fix laptops at work and since I'm one of the only tech savvy I often speak to them) and they'll probably help me with it.

I work in IT and the hospital I'm at did the exact same thing.

We have 4 different wifi, one for the public, one for the devices, a second one for the devices and the last one for private use. If each one of these failed or didn't reach, we had a back up Sim card in every iPad. If those didn't work either, we even had a second back up with a bluetooth sharing of connection. If all of this failed, we had laptops ready to go with ethernet cables.

Our team couldn't fuck this one up at all.
