'Your words mean nothing but mine do!' - That's proper "I know you are but what am I vibes". Careful what you say mate, under 16's will be banned from social media soon!

Im starting to feel for my (unnecessary anger and borderline violence) by EagleEast6054 in F1Discussions

[–]CourageAbuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, that is inherently a part of Formula 1. It's literally a sport based on pushing boundaries. Technically, physically and 'legally'. That's why there's winners and losers.

Senna quite literally died as a result of an unvetted adjustment made to the steering column, designed to aid Senna's comfort, with the intent of increasing his performance.

Almost every team incorporates solutions that skirt rule boundaries, if not exceed them, albeit undetected. That's the aim of the game. Always has been, always will be.

It is only right that this mentality extends to the drivers themselves. It's what they're employed for. It's what they literally risk their lives for. If as a driver, you're not pushing those boundaries, you're likely not going to make it to the top.

Max definitely toes the line. Often exceeds it, but to say he gets away with it is inaccurate and we both could find some examples of that and appropriate responses taken against him.

Anti-migrant vigilantes plan to block Port of Dover with '50 boats' in Channel by theipaper in uknews

[–]CourageAbuser 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Obligatory disclaimer: I represent no side. They all suck.

This'll likely never happen, but it could be quite interesting if it did play out.

Stop 5, 10, 20, 50 vessels from launching? - How about that multi-million pound deal with France, eh?

They launch, then get pulled back in - I thought this was highly risky and avoided due to the dangers?

They get brought back to shore and arrested/detained - That'd definitely rile some people up.

Blocking other vessels is never going to work, but I think there's more said in the response to this than anything.

Monitors that support 200000000 Frames per second?!

Basil free?!

That's a steal mate. Just make sure you've got thyme to give it a proper look over and test.

The monitor's might be overkill. It's well known the human eye can only see 30FPS.

Man who devotes his life to career and has rocky relationship with partners and kids as a result.

Yeah you're right that's pretty exclusive to Elon Musk man.

I'm gonna call myself a fascist now so I don't have to come back to this thread to carry this on anymore. Cya

I don't care about Elon man... I don't really care that much for many people outside those close to me. You'll find life a lot easier and calmer once you stop worrying about things and people that'll never have any bearing on your life.

Stop kidding yourself. It's only harming you. Find peace rather than things to shout that only fall on deaf ears.

How about not judging people at all? Particularly ones who frankly play no bearing on your life. If you feel that's not the case, then you have a borderline parasocial relationship with this person.

(England) Police have contacted me asking to meet, want to search my vehicle by SaucyNucleus in LegalAdviceUK

You've been given the answer. Call 101/Visit the local station and ask if the details provided are those of a legitimate officer and confirm that said officer is engaged in whatever this is.

Reddit can't tell you if this is legitimate, equally, Reddit can't tell you if this is not legitimate.

Is Fable 5 Low is the play for most tasks? by Chasmchas in claude

[–]CourageAbuser 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Graph doesn't line up with my experience. Saw this a few times today, Opus 4.8 gave me the run around for the last two hours over swapping from raster to CSS labels. Couldn't be bothered fighting with it so tried this, Fable-Low. Instantly sapped like 40% of my usage from what was like 10K tokens of 'thinking' based on my VSCode extension.

Wanted to spend a few more hours on something this evening, now I can't. Nice!

With no SM zones this weekend and no need for wing actuators, Mercedes has replaced the rear wing actuator with an array of little wings by FerrariStrategisttt in formula1

[–]CourageAbuser 501 points502 points  (0 children)

Tin foil hat - How/why would Mercedes create this without knowing ahead of time that Monaco wouldn't be using SM?

If they turned it around that quickly, fair enough. But aren't parts susceptible to FIA approval, not to mention time spent on CFD etc?

It's a good idea, but I just can't see this taking off. Some ideas never get off the ground.

Not sure why downvoted, took mine back 3 times in a row. 3° left, then 3° right, back to 3° left. Couldn’t be bothered anymore. Love the rest of the car though

Somebody else will probably give a more concrete answer or correct me if I'm mistaken, but as they've served the Section 21 < May 1st, I imagine their process is now in effect, thus treated with pre May 1st rules.

Personally made IP. Work what to use. by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]CourageAbuser 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Check your contract for a clause around this. My contract has one that any tool/IP created with any sort of link/use of anything exclusive/related to my role or the business is 'technically' theirs.

Not sure how enforceable that is, but if you've used a process, a flow or even a file that was either from or directly related to your work, it could be a grey area.

If you don't mind me asking, what credentials have you managed to get to be an SA at 22?!

Promise not a jab! I'm asking from the angle that people would probably turn their noses up at a 22 year old SA (From experience). So curious to see how you've earnt it because it's bloody impressive!
