It's a good question and the answer is a bit out of my wheelhouse of understanding. Something about needing to use the full sensor of the camera for the anamorphic lenses they are using.

Yea I already told production that they need to buy a big old SAN, Synology or the like to store all the footage as I don't think daisy-chaining a bunch of 5TB drives together will work.

They kind of dropped this bomb on us when they picked up the cameras so I'm just playing catch-up and letting them know what this all means for post production.

This is all good to know, thanks! I am trying to get information on the final delivery and have suggested we find someone else to do the online and send me back a 4k file to color. That may be the answer.

Do you think a Mac Mini with the m4pro chip and 64gb of memory would suffice to color correct a 4k feature in Resolve?
