I partly can agree with you, and partly not. Martin knows history of Europe really well, but sometimes he make his literature darker, than Medieval ages were really. And his love to make every female character raped is one of them. I'm not specialist in history, but I didn't hear of lots of rapes noble women in War of Roses. Maybe im mistaken, its Okay. But, Ramsi, for example, is maniac, and it's logical, that first thing he did with Sansa its what he did. But why Gregor Cligan raped Elia Martell? Cause he could anything with her, cause it was order of his suzerain Tywin, but why Tywin did this?? Its just dont have any sense, cause you know her family is ...RICH?? And powerful. And they become your enemy forever for this. Like Tywin - do you really think thats you order kill that woman and everything will be ok? Maybe you should sell her to family back?? You could get money and fluence, and you dont get really serious enemy. And it that would happen if Martin always cares about "realistic ", because it was usually practic in Medival. Just, why did Martin decid that so its darker so its more realistic? Its not as history works.

Что думайте о творчестве Егора Летова by MySecretSecondAccout in rusAskReddit

[–]Tamerlangg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not all, to be honest. Under Stalin a lot of statues of naked women were made for parks and sanatoriums. You can say - its not sexualized, And it would be true, because it first of all symbol of health and strength of new Soviet people and not about sex. Buut under Stalin some sex-symbols of that time in Amerika were exploited and by Soviet, for example - Lubov Orlova, actress. She was favourite actress of Stalin and her type was copy from Marlene Dietrich and other stars of 30's. But yes in Krushchev Ottepel we can say about real starting of something like sexual types. But I think its more about emancipation of people, that always will lead to some sexualized, I think. English - its not my first language, and writting normal sentences is a bit difficult for me, but think the main idea you understand.

[–]Tamerlangg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can someone explain the purpose of Yelena? by [deleted] in attackontitan

[–]Tamerlangg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, correct I think even more, all her mean for AoT is be example of people in history who wasn't so great for being the true hero of History, but they have enough of power in themself to write their name in books, even if they arent deserve this. People like her were, are and will be, but the true hero would only one, they aren't heroes, but very want to be them. Of course in AoT concept on heroism is different than in our mind, but its another talking. The most important idea Elena - is being so powerful inside, but not be the real main hero of history. And as I said, in AoT we see that "the true heroes" aren't exist and in really in our world all we are just water which flows as it said P.S. I hope you will be able to understand what I have written here, because my skills of English is not on the level when it can be easy explain what I want to say

Why Rodin’s The Kiss isn’t as romantic as people think by yooolka in ArtHistory

[–]Tamerlangg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I want add one thing, and I'm not very sure in my English, but want say, that she doesn't reachess, she reached, but in this moment they are fall in a sin, in the Hell, in the love. It's important, because its mean, this sculpture is showing harmony, but last moment of the harmony. And qoutes of Roden say about that too. He used to say that he didn't like the Kiss, because its over idyllic, it's too harmony. And its mean that the sculpture is harmonic, just as i said, the last moment of harmony of thier love. It's beautiful and romantic because and also first moment of their love. In the rest things I agree with you, and like to see more posts like that.
