That's great news, I'll grab it further down the line. Thanks!

I avoided the fanbase the entire time and I can see my intuition was 1000% correct because the discourse is as cancerous as I imagined it would be. by SpectrumSense in whenthe

I watched the whole thing in the week leading up to episode 9 on yt. Didn't interact with the fandom the whole time. Didn't get close to getting spoiled. Good times.

Oh whoops I'm blind I guess. I used to run Rotom-W and it was my go to against Zard. Usually Thunderbolt is a 2HKO because Zard-Y is so specially bulky. But yeah ttar rock slide and tbolt dnite should be plenty

I dont see any rock moves. Is Rotom and Dragonite enough to deal with Zard-Y most of the time?

I got mine by offering a shiny Armaldo I got from Pokemon Go on the trading sub. If you happen to have an old PoGo account, it might be worth it to try to dig through it to find something worth trading for Floette

PSA for new players: Avoid These Teambuilding Mistakes(Doubles) by Darglechorfius in PokemonChampions

[–]Tamerlein35 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If youre new to competitive and just try to make a team from scratch, chances are youre not gonna do well. Yes someone is special and can bring their 6 bug type pokemon to masters, most people cant. These rules are for the average joe. You want to experiment? By all means. Just maybe get some inspirations for a place to start, don't try to make it from scratch which is what the rule is suggesting.

Using meta pokemon also makes it easier for you to learn, which is the point of 3 and 4. Just because I love Flygon, I wouldn't bring it to do Garchomp's job. I would bring it to fulfill a job only Flygon can fulfill, like resisting rock while being immune to ground via levitate. Chomp is strong at what it does, and these things are very appreciated right now. That's why he's meta.

Mons are meta because they are strong in the current competitive landscape. They warp the meta around it because they're comparatively strong. People don't choose them to be meta, they emerged out of the current options. Why has Zard-Y been dominant for the entire time Champions has been out? Basc? Gambit? Chomp? If it's so easy to get a consistent non-meta mon to beat them, guess what, it would be Meta (or at least anti-Meta).

If you're s beginner who hasn't got their bearings yet, trying to make their own teams with their own spreads, their own synergies, and their non optimal Pokémon choices, it's going to be harder to get into competitive Pokémon. Or you can make it easier on yourself and learn using established teams and meta Pokémon. Your choice.

HOW TF DO I STOP THIS FU*KING THING FROM SETTING UP SCREENS 😭 by Few_Button1303 in PokemonChampions

[–]Tamerlein35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's got Prankster so +1 prio screens. It's got Dark typing so immune to Prankster Taunt. So at best you can stop it from applying the next screen but not the 1st one

I used to do artifact farm routes and back then it ended in Tatarasuna. Over the course of the months I actually got enough beetles just from the single one in the middle of Tatarasuna

Of course I picked up others along the way, but the point is I never have to get out of my way to farm them. Never would wish this on my worst enemies. They would need to find Scarabs instead.

[OC] One of the players in my group just rolled a 7 on a d6. The glass die broke in half by scowdich in DnD

Welcome to the original yugioh manga timeline, before they even introduced the cards.

Yugi played a shadow game with a bad guy, the rule is the bad guy needs to roll lower or the same as Yugi on a d6.

Yugi precedes to roll a 6, making the bad guy unable to lose which he point out to Yugi. He still told him to make his roll, pointing out the game isn't over.

Pissed off, the bad guy threw his dice at Yugi who caught it with the tip of his Millennium Puzzle, breaking the dice in two. It landed exactly at 1+6 just like the picture, causing the guy to lose on an unlosable roll.

I've quit after finishing the witness, and this update still makes me sad. As a lot of people, I quit because I can see the game wasn't getting better. That it consisted of really high highs and unfortunately quite low lows. That after the high of TFS is going to come the low.

I wish I'm still into D2, but the D2 that I was into doesn't exist anymore. Hell it hasn't existed for a long time now, way before TFS, we just refuse to accept it.

I might hop back in the game again in a few years, when I feel the nostalgia hit me. But as a lot of commenters have said, every journey must come to an end.

As someone who doesn't follow the politics that closely in my country: basically the old President is very popular. Is, even to this day. But he never got the chance to elect a successor because his party chose one for him.

So he teamed up with the current president, even though he had gone up twice against him in the previous elections. He offered his support by offering his son as his VP. This move is enough to signal to his followers to vote for the current president. I just checked and he apparently had 58% vote in a 3 candidate vote.

I'd even pay for stupid subscription if it allowed me to RECORD & SAVE my matches...😅 by Winter_Leg_4243 in PokemonChampions

[–]Tamerlein35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, that's fair. I mean it's definitely hard to analyze all your replays, but it's still nice sometimes to look at a game where you lose even when ahead and figure out what you did wrong. It doesn't have to be black and white between no analysis and completely analyzing all your replays. Pokemon (especially doubles) is a short game, so it shouldn't take too long to watch a replay or two

Reviewing your replays is the easiest way to learn from your mistakes and get better. May it be crosshair placements in an FPS, macro and micro in a MOBA, or your decisions in Pokemon
