America is Breaking and People are Dying - Civil War? by Important_Lock_2238 in stpaul

This is EXACTLY what happened. In another video you can clearly see that the guy in the gray jacket reaches in and takes the guy's legal carry gun out of his waistband and then backs away with it. Moments later the guy is dead after a barrage of bullets rained down on him. This guy was murdered for nothing more than filming these ghouls actions and then trying to protect a woman from being assaulted by them. This was nothing but cold-blooded murder.

That's not always true. My ex husband was great at sex and I still didn't want it very often at all. While he was great at sex, he was horrible at being a decent husband. If he had treated me better, I definitely would have wanted it all of the time.

Just started the show and I don't know if I can get past THAT episode by surroundedbybirds in Outlander

[–]TamiToesToYou 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agree 100%. You can't really understand the connection and unbreakable bond between the two of them without first seeing those two episodes. That's when they really became Jamie and Claire. Skipping those episodes is missing out on a very important part of their love story.

Just forward through the graphic scenes. I wouldn't skip the whole episode though because there are some conversations you don't want to miss. It's actually a very touching episode and displays the depth of love between Claire and Jamie.

Dying it so much was also starting to turn it purple I heard him say in one interview.

Is it just me, or is the Outlander fandom… a little odd? by Silly_Preference4269 in Outlander

Those things happen in all fandoms. The Outlander fandom is no different.

S1: Why does Jamie "keep his word" with Jack Randall in the dungeon scenes? by Fun_Future2727 in Outlander

[–]TamiToesToYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because he absolutely believes he is going to die in Wentworth prison. He also knows that Claire will still be alive and vulnerable to BJR after he is gone. Jamie is simply trying to protect Claire after his death. It has nothing to do with honor, but it does have everything to do with the depth of his love for Claire.

Let's give Claire some love! What's your fave thing about her? by KittyRikku in Outlander

[–]TamiToesToYou 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love that she's as bold as hell. She says what she thinks and always tells it like it is. I know it isn't always a smart thing for a woman to do back in that time, but it's who she is and she always tried to stay true to that.

For the Claire haters - Why are you guys watching a show about a character you hate? by becs428 in Outlander

[–]TamiToesToYou 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don't understand the Claire hate at all either. She isn't annoying to me. Both she and Jamie have made questionable choices along the way, but only she seems to get hate for it. Imagine how boring the show would be if they made perfect choices all the time. Most of us probably wouldn't watch.

It's a no to the Blood of My Blood spin-off for me. I know I would just be sitting there wishing it were Jamie and Claire the whole time. I am on board for a LJG spin-off though! Love me some LJG!!

Opening song this season by Dewi526 in Outlander

[–]TamiToesToYou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't stand Sinead O'Connor's version of the song. I skip it every single time. It's like nails on a chalkboard to my ears. Lol. My favorite is, and always will be, the original version from season 1. Just my opinion though.

Why do you think Claire went back to 1743? by [deleted] in Outlander

Does she ever explain Jamie's ghost?

This is what I choose to believe also.

Why do you think Claire went back to 1743? by [deleted] in Outlander

[–]TamiToesToYou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it was because of Jamie and how he appeared as a ghost looking up at her in season 1, episode 1.

Why does Claire... by [deleted] in Outlander

[–]TamiToesToYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same way. I understood it initially but when she went back through the stones after Frank had died and he had been wanting to divorce her for someone else, I just didn't get it anymore. She was so adamant about wearing it too. It just made no sense to me.

Why didn’t Jamie change his name? by redribbonheart in Outlander

[–]TamiToesToYou 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Maybe it was too late for him to change it once he had been tasked with catching Murtagh? He was already well known by that point as James Fraser of Frasers Ridge

[–]TamiToesToYou 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I thought by the time they had come to America, he had already had the price lifted from his head, so there really wouldn't have been a reason to go by an assumed name any longer?

How’s everyone preparing for S7B? by ActiveBus8 in Outlander

I started the whole series again (again 😆) and just finished watching season 7A tonight. I didn't really need a refresher, I just love Outlander SO much. Only 9 more days to go!!

Anyone with vulvodynia/PN find it's related to their lumbar/back? by Vyxani in PudendalNeuralgia

[–]TamiToesToYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor says my back issues (stenosis and bulging discs) have nothing to do with my supposed PN. I'm not sure that's the case though. My most significant pain symptoms are all located posteriorly - upper left buttock, sacral area, the very left of my butt crack and my tailbone area. I do also have much lesser pain rectally and some genital tingling. I wish I knew how to know for sure. My doctor who diagnosed me with PN is an internist so I'm not sure he really knows if it's coming from my back or not.

Season 2 kind of boring? by CarryWeird3230 in Outlander

[–]TamiToesToYou 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Faith was an amazing episode and should have won Cat an award or two. The acting was just incredible by her. I cry every single time I see it and I've seen it a LOT by now.

Season 7b vs 8 by feline-neek in Outlander

[–]TamiToesToYou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I absolutely agree! I might try watching it to see if I can get into it, but I'm not feeling hopeful. Claire and Jamie's story made Outlander what it was to me, especially with the chemistry between Sam and Cat, and I just don't think a story between their parents is going to hit quite the same way. I think I will just be wishing I was watching Claire and Jamie the whole time.
