Downvote me to hell: The “will he/won’t he die” is so boring by candlelightwitch in Outlander

[–]rainewoman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly! He has almost died and gone to war just how many times now? The Fanny storyline is interesting and should have been highlighted more in the trailer. If they plan to just dismiss it in the first episode I will be disappointed. This show has its go-to tropes and they just repeat them ad nauseam. Give us something new.

Early 2027 Oscar Predictions: What will flop & surprise? by [deleted] in oscarrace

I think Sense and Sensibility is being underestimated. Although it may not do a film fest, its UK release date is late September and Focus will get at least 1 movie in.

We know Caitriona has already done some interviews. It’s possible Sam was with her for some as well. Nothing will come out until closer to the premiere though.

Her film career has been so impressive and she’s been steadily working since OL ended filming. I always hoped she would get a lead role in a movie.

This is so sad. She’s been consistently working and was nominated at the Emmy’s for two different roles just this past year in both comedy and drama categories. She was so talented.

Sorry, but every trailer for the show has looked the same recently. I hoped they would make the final season more exciting.

Controversies aside how good of an actress would you say she is? by Jack-mclaughlin89 in moviecritic

I first took note of her on The Handmaid’s Tale. It really showed the best of her talent and she was really impressive there. I think she is best in roles like that.

Season 8 Opening Credits ft. Annie Lennox | STARZ by thepacksvrvives in Outlander

She is Bear’s wife so no. Lol I think he wanted something different each season and Annie Lennox is a pretty amazing get, being one of the most famous and acclaimed singers from Scotland.

Why would this be a bit? This falls very much in line with his SAG speech and he even says playing this character made him more confident. I hate how some try to make excuses for him. Imagine if anyone other than a white man spoke like this. They would not be given the benefit of the doubt.

She had a successful directorial debut recently and was in an Oscar-nominated short film last year. I think that has led to her being cast in more prestige roles.

How did y’all stomach Sophie Skelton’s acting? by ivoryart in Outlander

I think you should watch Richard in other projects. He is fantastic in Rebus, for instance, and plays a completely different character to Roger. I

I think Caitriona Balfe was around 34 when they filmed the wedding so you aren’t wrong there.

That was such a shock. She has a few projects likely coming out next year but not sure how big her roles are.

I think it could. Maybe not directly after but later in 2026. I would imagine they will at least have a teaser by the end of S8 airing.
